Conacher is nothing like Omark. Conacher has at least shown to be a nhl quality player and a definite top 9 forward. Struggling a bit this year but ottawa isnt exactly a great situation this year.He also put up 3 goals in 8 playoff games last year.

So does everyone expect him to center the 3rd line?

He plays LW....

I'm not too sure about buffalo and their players but he plays a good run n gun.. problem in ottawa is they didnt play that way.

Conacher has 4 goals this year in 60 games. He had good numbers in Tampa which are reflected in his last year's stat line. He is a warm body to help with the cap and to keep the Amerks together-and that is all.

If you give him more ice time than 12 minutes a night, he'd probably generate more than one shot per game.
Put him at two shots per games around average shooting percentage and he probably has three times as many goals.

I'm assuming he plays top 2 lines in buffalo, with a speedy game he can be deadly... Can't wait to see how it works out!

James Gordon ‏@SensReporter

Tim Murray told Conacher he'll get a shot as a top six forward in Buffalo.

I hoped we would be in on Conacher when he got waived.. Low risk/High reward type pick up for us IMO

Floored Ottawa would just waive him. You'd have to think they could have gotten a low round conditional pick at worst. Puzzling, but I'll take it.

Will be cool to have him in Buffalo when the Griffins debut the Harborcenter as their home arena next fall.
