I dont think the teams Kesler is willing to waive to will change between now and the summer, so the only thing that changes is the fact that they are acquiring an older Kesler for only 2 playoff runs not 3, and they have the option of improving their forward corps in other ways.
I agree I don't think the list of teams Kesler would be willing to go to changes at all, maybe one or two teams added. But the list of teams he would be willing to go to that are trying to acquire him could very well increase in the offseason with an increased cap and increased flexibility. It's not like it is Pittsburgh, Anahiem, or bust. I'm sure he would be fine playing for another top contender as well, but they just aren't able to put together legitimate offers in season.
