Does anything lift your spirits quite like the anguish of another team's fan base when you trade for their player?

Sorry, Wings fans, there's not much to get happy about as a Preds fan lately…y'all are really helping me out right now!

Viktor Stalberg, I choose YOU!

Realistically, probably a guy that actually performs his role, like Nystrom or Clune.

Regarding Jarnkrok reportedly thinking of heading back to Sweden after this season, it was news to Wings Asst GM Ryan Martin. @FOX17

I don't mind the move myself, Legwand provides depth at center where we have experienced numerous injuries all season long, I say why not put him on the 2nd line and find out what he can do with a fresh start.

As far as some Wings fans go being upset over Jarnkrok, I myself don't mind it...many prospects over the years have had shown promise at times, but I don't feel it's anything to get in a twist over.

Don't underestimate Eaves, he's a solid 3rd liner, especially on the PK, and can be helpful in scoring when given the ice time. I'm sure he'll fit in just fine for the Preds.

I had low expectations on the return. Obvious Jarnkrok is the wild card. He has OK stats for 22 year old in the AHL, nothing to suggest he's going to be a high scoring forward, but we'll see how he progresses. Not disappointed in the return at this stage. However, Bob McKenize says Jarnkrok needs to be convinced to stay in North America. If these rumors have truth, this trade has a whole new turn. We're going to look silly if yet another player who comes here bolts to Europe.

Vanek got a low return, I think in part because he's having his worst season of his career and because many feel they don't have a chance to re-sign him. Most everything else is on par. The Trade Deadline is always a seller's market. It can get diluted if there is an over abundance at a certain position, but people are always motivated to win the Stanley Cup and make their team better. Legwand was the best center in a very weak pool.

I actually think Legwand will play well for the Wings. He will likely turn back into motivated Legwand, who is much better than lackadaisical Legwand.

Eaves may be a good third liner, but we don't really need a good third liner

I know he had to be thrown in to make the money work. Honestly, I don't care about Eaves and the pick. I'm interested to see what Jarnkrok is going to do. This stuff about him going back to Sweden is what it is. My guess is that if he is thinking about it a lot of it has to do with the Wings taking so long to develop their prospects, and he is also behind Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Weiss for years to come. Maybe he just didn't see himself cracking that NHL Line up. I'd imagine he will have a much easier time cracking out line up.

I was going to suggest to TL that he should change his name to Traded Legwand, but I see he is one step ahead of me.

Several years ago, Legwand was sent to Milwaukee to rehab his knee. He looked like a push rod hockey game center. The fans were booing him at the end. That is unusual in Milwaukee. I guess we saw that lackadaisical side. I didn't care for it one bit!
