last update i heard was he is going to see the surgeon who operated on the shoulder at the end of this month. the doc will give him a timeframe for getting back into the lineup. according to what moreau told the media earlier this month, the shoulder is getting better and he feels the original timeframe (sometime in march) is very acheivable.

honestly, with this season shot already, i dont see the rush to get him back in the lineup.... why not just let him sit out the entire year and rehab the injury properly? we're not gonna be in the playoffs anyhow, so why risk further injury to one of best 2-way players? we need him healthy in the future

the same thinking should apply to stoll and pisanis concussions.... they should sit out for as long as is necessary for *all* symptoms to go away.... if it takes the rest of the year for both of them, then so be it

really, we should all be more concerned with what draft position we're gonna get than anything else at this point (other than signing smyth and what we can get for sykora).... if we end up with the 13th or 14th overall draft position again this year (the worst possible scenario), i might just have to kill myself, lol

That will definitely be the worst part about missing the playoffs. A guy like Moreau works his ass off all year, just to be able to come back when they're out of it.

My intentions were to have him back if ready in the next 2 weeks. Obviously that's not the case. I don't want him in the lineup either mid March if that's his target date.

I also just guess I'm in denial about the Oilers not making the playoffs.
