Just Wow. Awesome game. Tokarski is a rock. Did all this after he allowed that bad luck goal....I keep saying to lose Mayer in the ECHL.....now will have to deal with Dubnyk but I still hope he plays his number of games. And I hope that he's around next year.

Awesome game by the majority of our players too. On a negative side....I hope Emelin is out tomorrow and not Tinordi for Weaver.

If you told me yesterday that we were going to acquire Thomas Vanek then have our rookie goalie beat the best team in the league stopping 39 of 42 shots (and 4 of 6 shootout attempts) I'd never believe you.

There 24 5 2 at home..
Talk about right into the fire!!!and he backs us to 2 pts......
He faces 42 shots in regulation ...picked up 3rd star to boot..

Look good to me in his first start.....no easy opponent...he got the top dogs.

If it wasnt for a fluke bounce ,Habs take it in regulation.

I sincerely expected 2 pts out of 8 on that trip about a month ago with Price in net... Now we have a win in ANA, we have Vanek ready to go in PHO .. Let's make it 4 pts in less then 48 hours and win in PHO where we never seem to lose.

Kovalev's first game with the Habs was in Phoenix.. although he got injured in that game....
Vanek's first game with the Habs will also be in Phoenix... Hopefully he finishes the game.

P.S. Happy Patch was back after that big hit.. It looked serious at the time!

And the sound you're hearing is not the howl of the Coyote, it's the whining whimper of a scarred little dog about to take on the hottest team in the NHL, maybe with their Olympic champion back in net, but undoubtedly, with Thomas BY GOD Vanek in the lineup, making the whole league's strategy of "GOTTA COVER PACIORETTY YO!" totally obsolete....

We can think that we'll see Galchenyuk and Vanek on the same line....

I'm pumped! I'm going to break my healthy diet for tomorrow night and by myself chip & dip, I don't give a **** about Phoenix, their very existence is a disgrace to hockey
, and boy am I ever gonna enjoy THAT game!

Imagine this team with

Bourque, Parros, and Tokarski out.

Vanek, Prust, and Price in.

For being a non playoff day, this has been a pretty damn good day for the habs organization.

Impressed with this win. They beat the best team in the league on their ice and actually produced some quality scoring chances. Good day to cap off their trade for Vanek earlier.

Tokarski, given his lack of experience lately at this level, played a decent game. I was nervous during the game but he pulled through. Gutsy performance by him tonight.

I think we have beaten the Ducks twice this year. We are the only team they have not gotten a W against this season I believe.

Is it just me or does Saku seem to take a lot of penalties against us? Trying to help us out a bit?
