1- Betting on Dustin Torkarski, knowing it would make the team play well defensively = win
2- Shutting down Perry and Getzlaf = win
3- Benching Eller = win
4- Killing 5 penalties out of 6 = win
5- Habs continue to be a shot blocking machine = win
6- Using all the right players in shootout = win
7- Starting the game with Parros in Anaheim (good for team spirit) = win
8- Beating the best team in the NHL on their own ice = win
Tokarski was quite shaky and looked nervous, but he played his first NHL game in 2 years against the best team in the league, got peppered with 42 shots and won a shootout facing Perry and Getzlaf. And the Habs handed the Ducks only their 7th loss at home this season!
The Habs sure took a lot of penalties but rallying back to win the game was impressive and my hat's off to them.
As a sidenote, Galchenyuk never looks comfortable in a shootout attempt. He's slow with his dekes and is quite predictable. What an absolute terrible game he had, too. Yikes.
But enough of this negativity. A win... in Anaheim, too!
