I got to say 3-4 years ago, I praised Gorges big time....called him rubber man. The last few years, I did feel disappointed in his play.
But again, he shows great commitment to his team and is a real warrior.

Price, I love. He battle trow pressure, injuries and I strongly believe that with him, we always have a chance to win. Resting for a week or so is just good news.

Was the Dubnyk pickup a surprise to anyone?
Worries me about Price's injury.
As concerned as we are about your fantasy team...

-Price is progressing well, there's an outside chance he could play Saturday but I'd expect him to get a few more practices in. Probably back next week.

-Dubnyk trade was a surprise but shouldn't be used to read anything into Price's situation. Dubnyk has already been sent to Hamilton.

Yeah apparently if playoffs started tomorrow Price would be playing.. He's just being cautious.. And it's not like their win/loss has been something to worry about in his absence so no need to rush him. I want him 100% for first round

You would take Weaver and Murray over Gorges? Give me a break.

Am I the only one who thought Beaulieu and Subban were dynamite together for the small sample size when they played? I thought they complimented each other so well with their puck skills, awareness away from the puck and agility.

I'd love to see (never going to happen I know)

Beaulieu-Subban
Markov-Tinordi
Murray-Weaver
Emelin (he needs to sit a few games)

Why you gotta hate?
Thanks for the update. I know you don't care about my fantasy team.
I am happy that Price is close and has no lingering effects from the olympics. What a show he put on. You guys are lucky to have him.

This! Tinordi/Subban should be a pair for the next 10 years.

Per RDS text, Gorges returned to Montreal today, presumably to have his hand evaluated.

I wonder about Emelin and Tinordi on the right side - scary. Something has to give. Subban will have to deal with Lucic come playoff time anyway...

Emelin-Subban
Markov-Beaulieu
Tinordi-Weaver
Murray

We're lucky Pacioretty isn't hurt. He had his shoulder taken out pretty good last night. Left for a bit, but came back.

Someone else got slammed into the dasherboard face-first by Jackman I think - Gionta?

Jackman rammed into Markov's right knee from behind in the corner too and Markov was testing it afterwards, but seemed ok. Actually, Markov was FLYING in the warmup. I was surprised (I was at the game and sitting on the glass for the warmup).

Next year we have to make room for argueble the best and most consistent defenseman all year in Hamilton...Pateryn!

I see him instead of Murray.

I see him getting moved at the draft tbh. Beaulieu and Tinordi are going to have to play and there's always Nygren who is absolutely dominating in sweden. Good problem to have.

But when Weaver speaks I don't feel like punching him.

I hear Weaver can also block shots.

Maybe if he knew how to play hockey I would have more things to say. He's the hockey equivalent of a punching bag.

Wow, I can't disagree more. Gorges has been stellar defensively all season long.

He played a year on a busted knee before Habs management had to force him to go under the knife. Peoples rag on Gorges but the guy is made of steel.

But, but, but he's vocal in the dressing room and that is NOT COOL.

I'm not saying he is a superstar but it seems like people started hating him once the 24CH show started. His play is really no different now than it was 3 years ago when everyone wanted him as the next captain. He's a the kind of guy every team needs and I feel like Weaver is going to prove to be quite similar.

I get the impression that Gorges is always hurt. He's a warrior.

Considering all the shots that he blocks. I can't imagine all the aches and pains he must suffer on a daily basis.

I just hope Price won't be rushed. Give him the time he need so that he is 100%.

We need him too much to be in his top form for the last stretch + playoffs

Agreed, I just hope he doesn't get rusty and lose his momentum.

With the way Budaj has played, with the addition of Dubnyk and Tokarski. We're in pretty good shape to allow Price enough time to get back to 100%.
