I don't think I have ever heard the line "what a play by Sheldon Brookbank" before.

Looks like we need to start giving the role players on the team some more ice time. They're really getting it done lately.

I know it's in style to hate on Brookbank but as far as #7 defenseman go you can do much worse.

At least he's not being obtuse.

I don't mind Brookbank being in the lineup.
Now, if he is an as a winger that is a different story

Sure looks to be that way tonight. Seems like the Hawks have a talent for finding cheap lower tier defensemen that can be good when you need them to be.

Anybody who's carved out a pro career that is still playing at the age of 33 is somebody to listen too. Guys that show up and work hard every day, regardless of the role they play, are guys that coaches point toward.

People harp on Brookbank more because Q played him at wing. Not Brookbank's fault Q did that, but he takes grief because of it. What do you expect from your 7th defenseman really....

He's slow and one of the least talented guys on the ice so there must be some reason they keep him around.

You don't have to be flashy to be a decent player. He isn't here to be a star.

The last time Bollig scored seven goals in a season he was playing for St. Lawrence of the Liberty League, a DIV-3 School.

When the season first started Bollig was the main whipping boy in here. After a short while Handzus moved into first place with Brookbank at wing a close second. Now that Bollig has stopped the dumb penalties and raised his game no one is moaning about him anymore. Since the beginning of 2014 he has been one of our best, most consistent players.

Team is skating hard and outside of one brain fart has looked good. Glad to see it. Forty more minutes and we walk away with a W.

Bollig is not a scorer, but yes he has been one of our better players for what he does. He has been a hell of alot better than Kane since the calendar year changed
