Brossoit has looked like a great pick up so far.

We certainly needed a quality goaltending prospect.

I hope he continues to develop.

That means that Brossoit is trending in the wrong direction.

Jackson Houck has been on a tear lately, 14 points in his last 7 games.

He was very impressive in the game I saw last month vs the Oil Kings, does everything.

Going to go see Darnell Nurse a second time here, as the Greyhounds visit the London Knights tonight. Was pretty impressed with him the first time thru, just needs to add some WEIGHT.

Hope the Greyhounds have a long playoff run too, getting him some experience.

Ya, he's a much better prospect than people think. He's got all the makings of a very good 3rd liner. He hits, fights, is good defensively, and can chip in offensively (he lead the team in scoring last year, and is 4 points back of leading the team again).

On a somewhat related note, we should sign Cain Franson (Cody's little brother). He's a strong, shoot first guy who uses his size well. He'd definitely help the scoring issue in OKC

Look forward to hearing about his play. Does anyone else have a report on Nurse?

Looking to hear from a couple of people here who said they'd be attending tonight's game as well. Nurse's stat line doesn't look good, 0 pnts. and -3 for a 4-0 SSM loss to London -- one of the goals he was on for was an empty netter.

Greyhounds clinched the West Division title in the OHL, so tonight they're sitting Nurse and 3 others.

Ya, I certainly wouldn't expect to get a guy of Ladd's caliber, but he plays a fairly similar style

7th rounder Kellen Jones has 39 points in 36 games this season in the NCAA. I have never paid much attention to him. But he could be worth a contract this offseason to add some scoring to OKC. His brother has 34 points

Although not sure on the contract situation, and if well pick up Holmberg, who is a similar player.

76. Kellen Jones, Forward, Quinnipiac(Edmonton Oilers)

The speedy winger is the catalyst of the Bobcats offense. Along with brother Connor and freshman Sam Anas, the trio represents probably the second best line in the country. He's small, but he's gritty and can play with a mean streak. His hands, especially in traffic, are impressive. He's one of those players that can stickhandle in a telephone booth.

He's a guy who I've thought wouldn't have his size really affect him from my limited viewings.

Dillon Simpson showed up at 24 on the list.

Laleggia at 47.

24. Dillon Simpson, Defense, North Dakota (Edmonton Oilers)

Simpson first came to North Dakota as a 17-year-old, and as a result, got a bit lost in the shuffle as he adjusted to playing against much older competition. But over the course of his career, he’s quietly become one of the most effective two-way defensemen in the NCAA, capable of playing in every situation. He’s got excellent hockey sense which should help lead him to a long NHL career.
That's what I want to hear.

Johnny GODreau is 14

Noteables Simpson is rated over: Riley Barber, Santini, Fasching, Jankowski, Johns

That's great for Simpson (I looked at the first team NCHC team with the link you provided)

Here is the team

First Team

F-Jonny Brodzinski, St. Cloud

F-Josh Archibald, Nebraska-Omaha

F-Chase Balisy, Western Michigan

D-Dillon Simpson, North Dakota

D-Andrew Prochno, St. Cloud

G-Sam Brittain, Denver

Here is his write up:

Simpson first came to North Dakota as a 17-year-old, and as a result, got a bit lost in the shuffle as he adjusted to playing against much older competition. But over the course of his career, he’s quietly become one of the most effective two-way defensemen in the NCAA, capable of playing in every situation. Loving the sound of this kid more and more. Sounds like a potential good bottom pairing D for the Oilers

Any truth to the rumour that the Oilers are going to have trouble signing Simpson similar to the Justin Schultz/Anaheim situation?
