It's pretty ridiculous over on the Wings board. Most of them act like they don't even know who Legwand is. For such a king hockeytown fanbase that sure does make me laugh.

Nobody killed time with the puck on the power play like our dear Leggy. Really gonna miss watching him stand around. Sorry, I havent been here for 15 years and dont have the emotional attachment to him. To me, he was frustrating to watch.

Well someone had to replace Erat's production.

FYI, Legwand was second on the team in PP points before being traded. In 2011-2012, when the team had the best power play in the league for a huge portion of the season (and ended at the top) Legwand was third in PP scoring.

Just sayin'

That's actually pretty funny. The Joe is the most subdued arena in hockey, especially for having the most winning team the past 2 decades.

Yeah I don't buy the "we just didn't care to watch the games against the Predators" thing. Seems more like a shot at our team than anything else, and it comes across as incredibly arrogant.

I'm not exactly saying he is the next Zetterberg... but he plays a similar style. You really have to watch him to appreciate his game. I don't think the numbers have always reflected how good Z and Datsyuk have been for us because they two of the best two way guys in the game but not elite scorers. Jarnkrok isn't the fastest player...neither is Z but they are smart, tough, good with the puck and if he stays in North America I could see him as a top 6 for the Preds easily.

In regards to Legwand, some might not know everything about him, oh no..what a tragedy. Forgive some for not knowing anything and everything about every player on every team in the league, especially those in smaller markets.

Not arrogant, just stating a truth in saying that the majority of Wings/Preds games were held in higher regards & anticipation moreso by Preds fans, nothing wrong with that, just a fact having seen that here in Nashville over the years.

And how exactly are you measuring anticipation units in this statement?..."just stating a truth in saying that the majority of Wings/Preds games were held in higher regards & anticipation moreso by Preds fans"

Last time we met, we bouched you in the first round. That's all I remember.

Yes, it was a crowning moment for many I bet. It was just a shame they forgot there was a 2nd round to show up to as well.

Pretty crazy seeing Leggy in red after 15 years of playing with a Sabre-toothed tiger on his chest!!

I bet Absey is cackling that he was responsible for the goal that allowed the Avs to tie the game.

Funny, I think that's what caused that 4-1 series loss back in the '12 playoffs.

Looks like wings fans care enough to be checking out the Preds board. Still hurting over being fleeced days later?
You don't have to scout the lineup when you have played each other several times over the years since they were in the same division. I guess wings fans were also not watching the last playoff series where Legwands line did a pretty good job of shutting their top line down.

Ah yes, the you don't matter to us so we don't watch you argument. I'm sure they are the same people coming out and preaching about how they are real hockey fans when it comes to comparing themselves to other markets. The whole argument would make more sense if you didn't play said team at least 6 times a year for the last 15 or so years.

Yes, you won, we all know that, great job, but come on JW, where did that series win get you? I know it's a gold star for you guys (no pun intended). Moral victories are great for a time, but they soon end.
