Question about NHL GameCenter Live

Switched to Dish Tv last week. Now I can't watch the Flyers game anymore. Was wondering if I buy NHL game center. Would I be able to watch the Flyers or will they be blacked out because I live in PA?
Thanks

I remember last time I had direct tv and got NHL package and I still couldn't watch Flyer games due to black outs.

They'll be blacked out.

So the only way to watch Flyer games is Comcast cable?

That's weird...I have Directv with Center Ice and no games are ever blacked out...I have a NY address and even the NY games aren't blacked out. That sounds like Comcast Philly again, I know Directv had problems with them in the past but thats all fixed now, maybe Dish is having problems now. Center Ice is great now that they have both feeds for games(Home and Vs.) just like on Game Center.

What are the advantages of hockeystreams other than the black-out thing (since it doesn't concern me) and being able to watch some minor and junior league games?

Same or higher bitrate, higher FPS (once you see the difference between 24 and 60 FPS you don't want to switch back ), much shorter delay from live game (hockeystreams states the delay is 0/3 seconds - HS - and 30/90 seconds - GCL).

I haven't checked how big the difference in delay is, but it definitely is there

How about Center Ice? I have FIOS, and thought about getting it. Anyone have it?

Fellow sufferer man. I have DirecTV down in South Jersey, every time CI gives out a free week or so, I still can't watch any games.

I've been paying for hockey streams for a couple of months now with no issues for the most part.

I just watch it on my iPad.

Don't get GCL if you live in PA. Gamecenter is decent, but useless if you are in the blackout area.

Yeah I saw that, its probably easy to set up but somehow I would mess it up. GCL has an app for xbox and I don't really have to worry about blackouts cause I'm either in upstate NY for school or CT.

You could also watch the Olympics and will be able to watch the WHC, for example. But yeah, you've got the entire CHL covered, along with the WJC and the Super Series. Plus, you can take a sneak peek at our young guns in that there Adirondack
