I took advantage of the $7 per game plan this season for the full season to sit up in the nosebleeds of Section 425. Due to working late on some nights, being out of town, having other plans, etc, I've gone to about half of the games and sold the other half. I also sold all of the concert events as I had no interest in going to them and extra tickets if I was already going to the game. I did some calculations earlier and I see that I've made around $60 per seat at this point. Between getting free parking, a free jersey, 20% discount at Pantherland, 15% for food/drinks, and being invited to SSO events, I see that as pretty damn cool.

Next season, my rep says that my seats are no longer going to be available higher than rows 2-10 and those will go for $12 a seat. I'm likely going to renew since the same perks will be available, but I wonder what they are going to do with rows 11-16.

I thought same old until this week.
My concern is how many times have we heard the promise that they were going to be very active in the offseason? Was also told that prices for season ticket holders would remain stable. My went up 50%.

I am going to take a trust but verify approach...Which means I ain't renewing any expensive seats until after the owner proves he is spending to the cap.

If you renew by April 6th, they guarantee the same price in 15-16 as next season as well. I'm imagining that they're trying to get as many fans to become STHs next season as possible with that being said. I'd assume two seasons from now in 15-16, there will be a much better chance that the team will be competitive and selling tickets won't be much of an issue. That will also mean the prices will likely go up.

Well I could trade it all and return to ny for that, but no.

The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

What I do agree and have told my rep is make the playoffs and charge me more.

But they haven't.

yet:

NO MORE BONUS TICKETS
NO MORE EXCHANGE TICKET POLICY
NO MORE CONCERT GUARANTEE.

this off of yet another disaster season.

I have the $7 dollar tickets and haven't been to a game yet. I'll be making it down in April for 3 games and to take full advantage of my discount. I have been to Panther games in Boston, Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton this year though.

The amount of perks they give is insane. I get bonus tickets offered all the time, plus the other events. Discounts on food, merch, extra tickets, free parking.... Compared to my CFL tickets all I get is first chance to buy extra tickets and 15% off at the store.

The customer service is atrocious though. They rarely respond to my emails, they never call me back, I basically have to call and hope I get a guy on the other line which is annoying since its long distance and there is a time difference. They also flat out lied to me about shipping my jersey and other STH stuff to me in Canada (I specifically asked this questions 3 times when I bought the tickets, and was told it was not a problem), and didn't even tell me that they wouldn't ship to Canada until I called an hassled them about it 5 times. I even offered to pay the extra shipping fees and got the response of "no thats stupid, we wouldn't make you do that." I ended up having to ship everything to my friend in Seattle and then having him ship it to me in Calgary (which is essentially paying extra shipping fees and wasting everyone's time). My rep also got changed during this whole process and the new guy was more of the same.

Anyways I won't be renewing. I was only planning on being a STH for one year anyway just so I could say I did it. Plus that hassle of getting them to ship my stuff was ridiculous and I have no interest in going through that again.

Pretty random but AG I'm sure you'll agree with these sentiments...

I don't want 'perks'.

I want good hockey and good customer service.

Don't treat me like I'm buying a car from you.

Treat me like the customer who has been coming to your restaurant once a week for the past 12 years.

Make me proud to be a supporter of your organization.

Don't make me regret believing you.

Never, ever let me feel that my loyalty is being taken advantage of.

Nothing is "free".

The ridiculous prices on concessions in the arena need to come down.

They are so high at this point that they must impact sales and reduce profitability.

Maybe now that the huckster is gone the Panthers will be run like a real pro sports franchise instead of as a used car dealership.

*(Rant not directed at you)

Dont worry wasnt taking it personally. It happens to be i live in NY and dont make it down to miami very often anymore. However, depending on all the bennies i was tempted to buy as an investment-ish. Use them for the games i can make it down for and sell the rest. Lock in prices for two years if possible and I figure if i buy $12 tickets i could probably sell the tickets plus parking passes for a slight profit. If they were throwing in all the other bennies still it would be worth it. But.......

i agree with the above, tho i had been accustomed to guaranteed good seats for concerts.

Which i would give up for a playoff team.

Logic dictates tho FIRST give me a playoff team.

But to your point, agree !00%; I'm an old hockey fan so my ticket should by me a good product and all is good.

Is anyone else concerned at all by the fact that we are going to get the shaft and there will be a "$7 deal" next season?

yes

Hopefully with the huckster gone we won't see that nonsense anymore, but it's still a valid concern.

So i contacted a SSO rep and asked about the benefits of buying season ticket holder. they mentioned the "panther loyalty points". I asked for details on how points are earned and if there was a catalog for redemption's. The rep said that u earn 2 points per $ but that the catalog wont be out till the summer. Totally useless, what is the point of saying there is a benefit but not being able to detail what it is???

I get the sense that whatever was planned for the STHer renewal (before the cleansing) was scrapped so my guess is that they aren't even sure themselves.

I wouldn't base my renewal on that.

To be honest, it seems like an idea with potential.

I understand all of that, and yes it does seem like it could have potential. But if you are going to do it at least have a sample of how it will work. I.E. have one or two items or experiences and how many points they will cost.
