The Nashville Predators face the Phoenix Coyotes tonight for the fourth and final time this season. The Predators are unbeaten (5-0-1) in their last six games vs. the Coyotes at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Jason Arnott posted three assists in the first meeting between the clubs this season, a 4-1 Nashville victory on October 14 at the GEC. The Coyotes have been victorious in the two meetings since - each 3-2 wins at Jobing.com Arena on Dec. 4 and Feb. 1. The Predators are 14-14-3 all-time vs. Phoenix.
The Predators (81 points) come into tonight’s contest trailing the Detroit Red Wings (82 points) by one point in the race for the Central Division crown. Tonight is the second of four straight home games for Nashville. The Preds will host Montreal on Thursday before facing the Red Wings at the GEC this Saturday. Saturday’s tilt will be the first of five remaining games vs. Detroit this season.
