I don't know why people say that players are "untouchable". No one is truly untouchable if the right package comes along. I mean, if Pittsburgh turns around and offers you Crosby for Komisarek, do you turn the deal down? If you accept this deal, then it proves that Komisarek is not untouchable.
However, I'm sure most of you will say that this deal would never even come close to being offered but in the end, what we need to learn is that no player is untouchable. They are simply more difficult to let go due to what they bring to this team so if they were to be traded, something even more special would have to come back the other way.
No way we trade Komisarek, even for okposo, our defense woudn't be the same, he's our ONLY hard hitting shut down defensmen
OKPOSO would be great, especially considering how "small" we are up front. I am a KOMI-fan and love how his game has improved. I would rather keep him, but if I can name my price - OKPOSO would make me awfully tempting!
Heres a look at the scouting report for Okposo from HF:
At the pro level, Okposo will have to hone his skating skills in order to be the top player at the pro level that he was in the USHL and should be in college. He is every bit of the 6’0, 195 pounds that he is listed at. Okposo should become an NHL power forward who skates on the first or second line and receives plenty of power play time. He could approach Jarome Iginla, as they play similar games and Okposo could end up as big as Iginla.
hmmm, makes you think...
Yeah, I don't watch a lot of junior/minor hockey and I don't trust internet scouting reports but I've heard from the smartest hockey fan I've ever encountered who's been watching/following junior and minor hockey all his life that Okposo has the potential to be a Shanahan/Iginla type of player. He seems to think he may not reach that level depending on his development but believes he'd be a top line powerforward none the less.
