Peter Mueller wants to return to the NHL

After a year in Switzerland, former first round pick, Peter Mueller is looking to make an NHL comeback.

Quote:
On the other hand, Kloten Flyers' Peter Mueller wants to return to the NHL: "As long as the season is on, you can't negotiate with NHL-teams," the 25-year-old explains. "The [Kloten] Flyers and I have put our cards on the table. So there have been no discussions about a contract extension yet."
http://swisshockeynews.ch/index.php/...urn-to-the-nhl

Mueller was 3rd in the NLA this past season with 46 points in 49 games.

A cheap one year deal could be a low risk high reward type of deal for a team.

Wouldn't mind the Avs taking a risk on him on a one year deal. Had great chemistry with Duchene

I think he'll find a job in the NHL easily. Cheap, 1 year contract.

Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed. He has great talent and has actually shown something at the NHL level unlike some busts.

It's a damn shame Blake had to go and screw up his career like that with a cheap shot.

If a couple of Raymond, Kulemin, Bolland etc end up walking I could see them taking a flyer and giving out a cheap 1 year deal.

Thanks Mr Mueller.

So do I.

In fact I bet everyone who has played in the NHL and is now playing oversea's wants to "return" to the NHL.

This is something I could see Buffalo being all over, and for good reason. 1 year deal isn't much of a risk and can definitely pay off as I think Mueller has tons of talent.

If we trade Gagner, maybe. We could certainly use a right-handed center to play with Hall.

This is exactly the kind of guy the Canucks should be looking for. Sign him to a cheap 1 year deal, give him lots of offensive opportunity, and flip him at the deadline for a 2nd.
