Well usually it's easy to tell if a player gives everything in practice, especially after an injury.

After seeing our defense the last two games its safe to say that Gorges doesn't get enough respect around here, hopefully he's back soon.

NOt sure if this has been posted or not, but the Canadiens released that Gorges will be out 4 weeks.

Canadiens Montréal ‏@CanadiensMTL 53s

Josh Gorges underwent surgery this morning to repair a fracture in his left hand. His recovery is estimated to be four weeks.

Hopefully Beaulieu is called up to play with Weaver or Murray.

Will Gorges be with the team for his pregame pep talks?

Gorges is so inspiring, he really needs to consider a career after hockey as a motivational speaker

Good news bad news kind of thing. We will get a healthy Gorges once the playoffs come around. I don't think he's THAT important of a guy that we would be screwed without him. A healthy Gorges coming into the playoffs is a great thing.

Hm, I think the added risk of missing the playoffs entirely outweighs any advantage of him being rested.

My thoughts as well. I don't think we're screwed without him but it's a pretty big blow. Time for that Weaver acquisition to pay off.

If we can't make the playoffs because Josh Gorges isn't in the line up, then our problems are far bigger than we think.
Not saying Josh Gorges isn't important. But I don't think Gorges injury is going to be a big blow to our playoffs chances.

The biggest issue with Gorges injury is that we might see more of Murray or Bouillon.

It's time for other guys to stand up too.

Maybe I'm just way too optimistic about making the playoffs.

I like better Tinordi-Subban than Gorges-Subban.

Don't miss Gorges at all.

We lost the best shot blocker in the entire world... The players will feel the difference, that's for sure.

Gorges is incredible at what he does best.

I've never seen so much mass support for such an overrated mediocre player.

He is slowing down so much over the past few seasons to a point his speed has got so bad it could no longer compensate for his pathetic shot, vision and lack of overall talent.

Yes he plays with heart and sacrifices... that's no longer enough

Yup. Though might mean waiving Boullion which would just illustrate what a waste the Weaver trade was.

I think our problems are about that big. And then, even if you fall off just a teensy bit in the standings and end up in a wild card spot, you draw Boston or Pittsburgh instead of one of the other unwashed-masses teams like us, that can be significant too.
