Andrew Wiggins is ridiculous. He's carrying Kansas today, and the only reason this game is close-ish.

I thought the same thing. He was all over the court

Was hoping he would go under the radar so the Sixers would have a chance to take him when they don't get the first pick.

I think Embeast will most likely go #1. Wiggins #2, possibly #3 if a GM wants to get fired in two years because he drafted Parker above him. It took me a while to decide but after watching and reading everything on the internet about Exum, and watching most Duke games this year, I would rather him than Porker, I mean Parker. Parker is my worst case scenario, which isn't disastrous at all. He just needs to lose some flab and learn how to play D. Well, maybe not lose the weight if they plan to play him at the 4.

Assuming the Sixers stay in 2nd worst, there is an 88% chance @ a top 4 pick, 56% @ top 3, 39% @ top 2, and 20% @ 1.

Welcome aboard. If Wiggins isn't the best player from this draft 5 years from now, than Exum just may be. He's got all the physical tools to dominate the game at both ends of the floor. It's going to take him some time to adjust to the NBA game as he hasn't played against a ton of top talent, but the few times he has, he has impressed.

Embiid could also be in the discussion, but there's no guarantee he will leave this year. I'd like to think there is someone in his ear telling him to go, but you never know. The injuries are scary. We've seen this story before. When he's on the court he's an automatic double team. Good passer, good footwork, advanced post moves. The jumper will come. I don't think he's as good defensively as he should, but he is learning. He's the ultimate boom or bust pick.

I wouldn't be mad with Parker, but I would be a little bit bummed if he were the pick. He may get buckets, but he may also give up just as many on the other end. May be too slow for quick 3s and too small for back to the basket 4s. For a team that has struggled (for lack of a better term) defensively all season long, its hard to see Parker changing anything- while Exum, Wiggins, and Embiid could certainly be difference makers on the defensive side. He's a lot like Carmelo, and as great as Carmelo is, and as fun as he is to watch, he's not winning a championship by himself.

If Spencer Hawes didn't make that game-tying 3 vs the bucks, we'd be only 1 win ahead of them.

I wonder if that will end up being the difference in the draft rankings... lol.

That's against Boston. His hometown. I guess that is the date he is targeting maybe. From a PR move, while not let him debut at home. They play the next day against Brooklyn at home. I doubt he plays back to back games.

I think Embiid will be an absolute beast, and it would be awesome if we get a top 2 pick and Embiid decides to stay at KU for 1 more year. As long as the Sixers don't go free agent crazy, they still should be in contention for a very good pick if not the #1. Just imagine, Embiid, Wiggins, McW and Noel as our core going forward.

Not really Sixers news but Jodie Meeks dropped 42 in a win against the Thunder tonight. Nice to see that the Lakers aren't taking right.

I always kind of liked Jodie going back to his Kentucky days. I always wondered if Doug Collins allowed him to put the ball on the floor though. Anytime he touched the ball (always behind the line) he either took the 3 or swung it around. I always thought there was more to his game. Of course when you had Iggy, Jrue, Lou Will, and Turner who all needed the ball that probably had something to do with it (what a difference two years makes).

Is it sad that I'm more interested in this epic disaster of a Sixers season then if they were actually a decent team?

Not at all. As bad as this season has been, this is the only way to become a contender in the NBA. At least when we're watchng games this season we can know there's hopefully light at the end of the tunnel. Being mediocre like the sixers were is the WORST thing an NBA team can be. Having a GM that seems like he knows what he's doing helps too.

Agreed..at least there is method to this "badness"

In some ways we can thank the previous management and the Bynum debacle...they basically left this organization with no other choice but to tear it all down and build from scratch and luckily the ownership group was smart enough to get an out of the box thinking GM.

Looking forward to the lottery and draft...

Yeah good night. Embiid's out two weeks though. Can't decide if that's a good thing or bad thing.

Just heard about Embiid's stress fracture. If they're saying he'll be back in a few weeks I guess that is good news. It's just scary thinking about his ability to hold up over an 82+ game season though. Hopefully a change in exercise routine can prevent it happening again.

Neither. Missing a couple weeks should not be either good or bad.

Part of me is thinking if he was undecided about coming out, this may be a wake up call. Embiid isn't necessarily the guy that I want, but the more options come draft day, the better for the Sixers (when they inevitably will be picking 5th).

That's perfect. MCW playing well is great to see. People were concerned about him during this epic season.

When they get some actual talent and shooters on this team, MCW will threaten triple double territory often.
