I'd be mad if BG let Markov and or Souray walk as a UFA, without getting anything in return. I'd try to get something for Rivet if he can.

I wouldn't be pleased if he got a rental player. Especially if he traded youth for it.

I'd be happy if he could move Samsanov's or Kovalev's contracts.

Yes, but I have faith that Gainey would do such a good job, nobody would think of it as a transparent attempt. IMO, Gainey hasn't truthfully answered a question with a solid answer since he came to Montreal. He has that Ken Dryden ability to say something meaningful without really taking a concrete stance on anything.
