Onto the next one I guess.

I thought Hank was good. Zucc was as well.

All the other teams that are really close to us in the standings lost...probably the luckiest lost this season

What really worries me is that I forget Rick Nash is on our team most nights. That's how invisible he's been lately. Worrying to say the least, we need him to produce. MSL looks a shadow of his TB-self too but I'll write that up to the adjustment period...

Scratch that, Lundqvist wasn't the only one. MZA played a solid game too, and Klein was not only a rock defensively, but pitched in offensively. Lundqvist, Zucc, and Klein were the only players who came to play.
Pouliot was buzzing, McDonagh wasn't bad, the fourth line didn't cost us anything. But yeah, those guys and your guys might actually be it. Worst team showing in a long time.

To me, they looked frustrated with the inability to be able to control the puck. Unfortunately, this team doesn't have enough grit to play a dump and chase style. The Hurricanes seemed to be getting a bit lucky with some of the bounces and the Rangers were chasing it all night.
Well Sather is the moron that thought this team has enough grit and size for the playoffs... he will be mistaken. what was the last small soft team to win the Red Wings, and they had guys like McCarty Maltby Holmstrom and Draper. Rangers wish they had players like that

Still early but this is the second straight game where MSL looked like absolute dog ****. Fumbling pucks, turning it over, and just not creating anything.

Lundqvist didn't do the team too many favors with the juicy rebounds he was leaving either.

I'm NOT bashing him, but he put the D, that was already having a tough game, in some vulnerable spots with weak rebound control. It allowed a pathetically bad offensive team to get to pucks that normally would have been on a D's stick coming out of the zone.

EVERYONE had bad games.

You're right. Poo and McD were pretty solid tonight too.

So, I think we can contribute the list of players who contributed today to 5.

Effort was just awful today. The team didn't look ready to compete, and that's concerning when they're not in a comfortable playoff position.

they also can use some grit emotion and size.. in the playoffs you think anyone is scared of Dorsett or whenever Zuccarello acts tough or Brian Boyle

Vehemently disagree. I thought the Hurricanes deserved to win the game 3-1. All three goals against Lundqvist were good goals, one of which he literally had no chance on. Personally, I think it could have been worse if Lundqvist wasn't solid tonight. He was far and away the top performer today.

Jackets won . They are 1 point behind us with a game in hand . The good thing is that they're playing the Sharks next .

Anyone mildly suggesting Hank wasn't good is hating on him. He was the only one out there. 1st goal was a good play, not his fault at all. 2nd was a 2 on 0 you can't expect a goalie to stop that ever. 3rd was a complete defensive collapse and Lundqvist was left out to dry. Hank was absolutely fine in this game. He looked like Lundqvist tonight, not the disaster from the beginning of the year. Defense was horrid tonight.

I think you misunderstand. I'm not blaming Hank for the goals against. Two were ridiculous defensive breakdowns and the third was a typical Hurricanes lucky bounce off a stick. Personal opinion is that nobody deserved to win the game, and the Rangers deserved to lose.

My point is that Hank sometimes gives up some strange rebounds. Not necessarily in the slot, but in positions on the ice where the D becomes extremely vulnerable. That allows a hard forecheck after what should be a routine save and a stress-free out. Hurricanes seemed to get a few of those opportunities tonight. Not that they led to any goals. Just zone time that kept the Rangers bottled up and frustrated.

Our 1st line is pretty damn bad defensively, and it does not help that Nash do not even try it seems.

How the **** do they still have a game in hand?

Bobrovsky is my fantasy goalie and it seemed like he played 5 times last week.

Lundqvist did nothing wrong in that game. Best player on the ice AINEC.

Perhaps that game was one of the more sickening examples of the #CarcilloEffect (Dorse was fine though)
