Hartnell displayed "Fat Bowler" levels of athletic skill tonight.

White knight alert. You can't defend that no goal call. It came down to it being Brodeur who always gets the benefit of the doubt. It was never clearly covered and a goal out of incidental contact. No other ****in way of explaining it.

A rebuttal from devils fans, "what makes the flyers so fun to watch?"

Lets pray, for the sake of hockey, the devils do not make the playoffs.

It was incidental contact, plain and simple. No goal, no penalty is the right call in that situation.

Columbus passed us in the standings, were now in the last WC spot, and the Devils are one win behind. So it's a huge loss no matter how you slice it.

Not saying Berube would do better but if Lavi is fired in the offseason maybe we bring in someone else, who is a real coach. Gives the coach a full training camp and offseason to work with the team instead of being thrown to the fire after three games.

They needed to score two goals to get a point tonight. They didn't do that. Was it a weak goal? Yes. But the offense is the one that should be taking the large portion of the blame.

Our Fwds get beat all the time, that goal Mason let in during a playoff push as a game winner, I challenge you to find a softer GWG in next week.

I think I'd rather watch basketball than watch another Devils hockey game.

Massive props to Devils fans, or the committed ones at that. Because holy **** are those games boring as ****. How they do it 82 games a year is beyond me.

With our current fan base we will never have a franchise goalie. Pelle would not have made it to the 84-85 season. Could support this with many facts but won't waste the time. Because, even though you will object, in your said little hate filled hearts you know it's true.

Eh, not the worst game I've seen the Flyers play.

Hey, Grossmann scored. That's something.

And here's something I've wondered for a while, why doesn't the first PP unit stay out there the whole 2 minutes? Is this practical? Do players get too worn out? While the second unit has their moments (though few and far between), they have such a hard time even getting set up that it usually kills the rest of the PP.

I kind of am really pissed off about this game because of its huge impact on the standings and because of how bad most of the team was, but I'm trying not to flip **** about it in all honesty.

It was an exact replica of the Sami Kapanen goal in the playoffs in 2008. What was the difference then? Incidental contact doesn't negate a goal, especially when the defending team initiates the contact.

Are you saying the fans are responsible for not having a franchise goalie in so many years?

We've done a really poor job scouting and signing goalies as a fanbase.

Well, for one, Schenn's line was out to lunch defensively and both goals were a direct result of them getting manhandled in their own zone. This has been a recurring theme with that line. Mason should have had that one, that's for sure, but earlier in the shift they had an opportunity to clear the puck and failed miserably. Mason also came up with a few key saves in the first period. No blame to the PP? 0 for 6? They looked hideout outside of the first attempt.

So we need to,score two or more every game ? Pay Montoya 800 k per year if that's the case. Every team has nights they only score 1 or struggle, Mason makes a routine save we get a huge point, he failed and cost his team.

We have had to score at least 3 goals I beleive every game since break, he is playing exactly like Bryz did, score a bunch of goals and he will give you a shot to win
