Richards vs. Recchi

Try to put your personal feelings aside for a second if you hold any anymosity (can't speel that for sh-t) for Recchi. Try to remember how much heart he had when he would fight. He was a small guy who could straight up throw down with anyone. After tonights fight with Richards...I think he reminds me of Recchi when they fight...all out.

So...who wins?

I think I gotta take Recchi...for now.

i don't know... Recchi is 2" shorter and a stockier frame... and he was an ANGRY human being when he did fight. i think i'd take Rex.

All I can think of is the Sens-Flyers game when Rex was beating the Sens player with his wrist guard.

Recchi has a nice fight in that brawl, but I was at a game on Halloween night, I think it was 2003, and Recchi totally humiliated Ossi Vaananen in a fight.

If Richards matures into half the player Recchi has been throughout his career then I don't care if he loses a fight with Harry Neal tomorrow.

Richards is a good fighter especially for someone his size, but I think I'd have to go with Recchi here.

He didn't fight the quality of opponents that Richards has, but Recchi absolutely destroyed a number of guys he fought.

POLL: Richards vs. Recchi

The thread looks like it was tied with some people not making picks so I figure a poll might give a more clear cut answer. If you don't understand the poll, read the other thread.

Maybe a mod could merge the 2 for me? I didn't know how to edit a thread and add a poll.

In the long run, Richards may overtake him, but I have to go with Recchi. He was a beast when he took anyone on (however, Richards has the same quality).

yeah... i think people are forgetting Rex as a fighter. he was not one to drop the gloves until he was legitimately PISSED off, thus when he goes he's not, literally, 'holding punches.'

obviously recchi...are you kidding me, maybe down the line richard's will take it, but for now, you have to be completely insane to chose richards over recchi. or you may have just gotten into hockey last year and you have some man love for richards.....but like i said, if richards gets into the gym, maybe a few years from now he'll be a contender. the kid can hold his own i'll give him that and he surprises me, but seriously rex would snap and it would be game over.

I don't understand why Richards is winning when the majority of posts are in favor of Recchi. I guess people are just popping in and not posting. I seriously think Rex would school him right now.

It's so Rex, Rex has always been scary when he dropped the gloves.
Like everyone else said, Richards well be better in the long run and has similar qualities, but Recchi was (and is) something else.
I miss that guy...
