Guess no more "fatass" but since they recalled two forwards something more might be coming?

Well, Ben Eager is injured and Mike York sucks. Maybe that´s all?

When Upshall was first traded to the flyers I saw that he was going to where number 10, so when i turned on the flyers game last saturday against the rangers, I saw someone wearing number 9. I got pissed off at the flyers because I thought they call up Ruzicka instead seeing what Upshall could do. After watching I saw that Upshall changed his number to Ruzicka's number 9. I assumed that Ruzicka was in Stevens' dog house and wouldn't play again for the flyers, but now i guess its not the case.

Can someone tell me why Potulny isn't up instead of these to clowns. I know Eager got hurt, but they had to make Sanderson a center, so why not call up Potulny and move Sanderson back to wing?

Well Reid was recalled yesterday before the game, but York still played. I would say Rosie is up to take Eagers place, I think they are showcasing Sanderson for a trade so moving him back to a 4th line wouldn't do any good. Maybe for Potulny they want him to remain down there for a little while longer.

Upshall requested 9. Guess he didnt want to try and fill Leclair's skates by wearing that number. I dont have a problem with it personally. Ruzicka didnt exactly earn himself anything the first time he was up. Maybe now he got the hint hes gonna have to work a bit harder to stay up with the Flyers.

Upshall wore 9 or 19 growing up playing youth hockey and requested it.

i am really eager to see potulny back in this line-up, but he is going to be better served playing 18-20 min a game with the phantoms than 4 min a game with a checking 4th line IMHO

Yup, that was mentioned in the radio broadcast against the Rangers. He always wore 9 or 19.

The season's saved, Darren Reid has come.

I've watched him for a few years in Springfield. Couldnt hit the ocean standing on the beach with a puck.

I'd try to move Rosey and AfanaSinkhole as a package to get some kind of hard-working winger prospect that at least puts in an effort to contribute... or a 3rd-4th rounder this year.
Don't know if either still hold any value, but at least it's worth a shot.

I agree with your guys' reasoning about not having Potulny up and I wasn't upset the Upshall took Ruzicka's number. I hope Ruzicka does the most with this oppurtunity now because I don't think he's got a chance to crack the lineup next year barring an injury.

I just wanted to see what everyone thought of this idea of calling up Parent or Downie after their OHL season is over. I know they did this for Carter and Richards when the phantoms won the calder cup, but I think it would be a good idea to bring these guys up to play this year for the experience and to see if they can play next year when the games count again.

Downie's team will likely be in the thick of the playoffs while the Phantoms are not going to make the playoffs. I think Parent is in a similar situation, where the playoffs for him will not be over when the Phantoms are done.

These moves just don't make sense. Why not bring up Potulny, we traded a center and replaced him with a right wing. let potulny play the 3rd line ceneror even cener btween Gagne andwhoever but let this kid play!! He has a nice shot, good puckhandling skills, and will be here next year.....sorry but these moves just DON'T make sense!!!

Have you ever tried that? I bet that would be extremely difficult. It's hard to walk in the sand, not to mention get good wood under a puck to put it up. If ice was as soft as sand I doubt Gretz could do it either.

I think they are waiting on Potulny for after the trade deadline. Might as well let him get 20+ a night until then.

I'm a Ruzicka supporter so i hope he can improve in this game.

Reid, i'm not so sure about.

Rosie is trade bait! He does not have a place on this team in the future. Showcase him for a 4th rd.pick or higher. He still has a good prospect rating and COULD develope into a second line winger, but no place on this team.

Wow KF, you had Rosie as a second or third liner on this roster out of camp and are already bailing?
I have never been sold on the games I have seen (Flyers and 2 or 3 AHL) but that is a quick dismissal of a guy. A fourth is a crap shoot at best and I would rather give him 2 years in the AHL and see if he ever sticks.
