While I'm really glad to see Gudas is back and hitting, that is a terrible statistic. One person shouldn't out hit the rest of their team...

Oh, and I have to give props to Panik. One of his best games in a Lightning uniform. Looks like his time in the A gave him some confidence.

Was at the game tonight. I was happy with the overall play, minus the two quick ones at the end.

In other news, the STH meet and greet was with Carle and Ted tonight. Yep. I took a picture with Edward. Sorry boys.

Perhaps the most important victory of the season, Cally scored, Stamkos scored and we finally got a win!

Filppula was awesome after being bit of invisible after returning from injury. That second line was really our best line tonight. The most I am concerned about Bishop. He's been pretty bad last times..

Those were important points, congrats on getting them. Panik and Filppula had good games, and Stamkos popped one. Several other guys had some good shifts, so a lot of good stuff happened. Bishop carried this team for most of the season, but he is struggling right now. I'd really like to see the team cut down the odd man breaks against, which have been a problem for the last few games. Also, we only had eight blocked shots this game. When the goalie is struggling, a few more blocks are helpful.

And thanks to the Panthers for playing their backup goalie, we owe them one if our playoff situations are ever reversed.

We've got to tighten up defensively. With Bishop injured/tired/cold and Lindback's known issues, we can't rely on our goalie to bail us out. But, yeah, Bishop did not look great last night. For whatever reason(s).

My cable cut out with 9 minutes to go in the 3rd, so I'm just operating under the reality that the final score was 5-2. Confidence!!

Looking at the standings we could well play Philly in the first round of the 'P' word. I refuse to use the full word until the regular season is over.

Ummm... the only way we could play Philly in the first round is if we somehow came back and won the division - which isn't going to happen.

Or if Philly won the Metro, which also isn't going to happen.

Really just want somebody other than Boston. Boston has won 16 straight games against Tampa and Florida; they overwhelm this state.

#2 and #3 seeds in each division play each-other

#1 overall conference plays #8

#2 overall conference plays #7

We need to finish 2 or 3 so we get one of the Canadiens teams where we have the best chance.

and if not 2 or 3 we need to be in whichever wild card doesn't match us up against the Bruins. Would much rather play the Pens.

Oh yeah, it changed this last offseason. Current playoff matchups would be:

Boston v Phili
Pittsburgh v Montreal
Toronto v Tampa
Columbus v Rangers

St. Louis v Dallas
Anaheim v Minnesota
Colorado v Chicago
San Jose v Los Angeles
