Kings vs Dux

So, with the kings losing Thursday vs. TOR, ending our 8 game winning streak, and the dux finally winning their last game against COL ending their 4 game losing steak PP (post Penner), what gives?

Do we start another winning streak without the captain, or do we get owned by the dux again?

Personally, I'm not overlooking the dux like some posters are. To me, they're still a very dangerous team.

Having said that, I do expect us to win tonight, and am hoping for a big game out of TT and / or Pearson.

Ducks may be missing Fowler tonight, as well. And knowing us, I bet they start their backup

I doubt anyone is looking over the Ducks, it's obviously a big game this time of year!

Looks like We might be starting our backup to

Jonathan Quick, who did not practice on Friday due to illness, did not take the ice for today’s optional morning skate.

Whether he would start against the Anaheim Ducks at Staples Center, Sutter said “We’ll see tonight.”

Martin Jones, who made 26 saves through overtime and denied all nine shootout attempts in a 3-2 win at Anaheim in his NHL debut on December 3, did skate at Toyota Sports Center this morning and would draw the start if Quick is unable to play.

Whether Quick would be available to back up, Sutter didn’t reveal much. “We don’t know,” he said.

The Kings’ coach offered a fine deadpan when asked who would be called on should Quick be unable to back up.

“Billy Ranford,” he said, referencing the Kings’ goaltending coach and two-time Stanley Cup winner as a player.

^ That would be awesome.

I'm expecting an extremely chippy game. Deploy Nolan!

No "we're sick" or "we have the flu" excuses like the ducks fans. Just win.

I wish Nolan would have saved his cheap shot for Perry. Can't stand that f'er. Such a classless player and individual.

Let's pound these d-bags into submission.

Fowler is doubtful for tonight. Could be a few weeks (knee).

It would be nice to see more structure in the game then we had vs the Leafs, wouldn't hurt if we finish our chances better.
