My understanding is that he was having concussion like symptoms. Expect him to miss a week as a precaution.

Peter Maher said that Moss just got his lip split open, and that Vaananen may get suspended. That was a few days ago, not sure what has materialized since then.

Vaananen played on Sunday vs. Vancouver, so I don't expect a suspension is forthcoming. As for revenge, Ossi isn't really a fighter (though he has dropped the mitts before) but he is a tough customer; he's not going to change the way he plays.

Do you guys think someone will go after Vaananen tonight? Even if it isn't Godard, could someone else do it? I could see Iggy doing it if Vaananen gives him a reason too... such as hitting him even one time. Iggy seems to keep numbers and then look for reasons to fight guys. I.E. When he fought Bryan Allen because of that hit on Kobasew, but it came right after Allen hit Iginla. He needed any reason to fight, and Allen gave him one. So, I could see that happening tonight... although, there are other candidates such as Godard or Primeau. I am torn 50/50 on whether the Flames will go after him or not. However, it may depend on how the game goes. If the game is close, then I doubt we will want to take the penalty. However, if the game gets out of hand (especially if we're losing) then I wouldn't be surprised to see something happen.

Being this close to the playoffs and in need of as many wins possible and everyone healthy, fighting is the last thing I want to see Iginla do. That's why we got Godard.
