Important curve question

So I'm getting my new stick soon and the last steps are choosing my stick curve.

My playstyle:

- Left handed playing RW
- Take a lot of snap shots near the net
- I mostly take long range powerful wrist shots from the circle or the blue line. (My best shot)
- Sometimes take slappers or backhanders.
- Pass moderately and I'm known as a TWF or a sniper.

The current flex options are the Easton versions of the:

- Sakic
- Zetterberg
- Getzlaf
- Iginla
- Drury

So I'm asking you guys what stick flex would suit my playstyle the most? Thank you!

You sound a lot like me lol. I play the same style also a lefty playing RW. Flex wise it would depend on your height and weight (whether you need an intermediate/senior stick)

But I play ball hockey so its a lot different.

I'd say Sakic is the way to go for you. You'll be able to roof the puck from close range and control those powerful wrist shots from long range. Again, only you can tell what suits you best.

The Iginla/Kane is the best of all worlds curve. It can do anything but it doesn't do anything extremely well. Since you take mostly wristers/snap-shots maybe that or a Sakic would be good for you.

And you're talking about Curves (as the thread title says) but in your actual post you are referring to them as "flexes." Just figured I'd point it out to you.

Welcome!

I would recommend reading the sticky post on sticks at the top of the forum.

Before recommending a stick flex, it would be nice to know your height and weight.

As for curve, it's hard to go wrong with the Iginla if you don't know what you like.
