Brule is someone I had argued should have been a top 3 pick. I don't know if it was how his development was handled or personal issues, but he was so good in junior, he seemed like a sure fire guy to me.
Every damn time... The guy was an all star goalie, starter if I recall correctly, and had a massive injury (in that all-star game) that started a downward spiral. The guy pushed himself too hard, had AWFUL luck, and fell apart. Bust? Nah.
Pavel brendl. He had so much skill yet lacked the drive
Mine as well. Can´t believe he didn´t at least become an elite PP-specialist. Actually tought he would have the best stat career out of the four stand outs at the 99 draft. And had hope for him waaaay longer than I should. Almost still think he will come back and find a place on a team and do good... Having your best junior season at 17/18 when you played two more is crazy and probably was a tell of what to come. He actually had 3-4 seasons in Europe where he showed what could have been.
