TSN reported yesterday that rookie Jaroslav Halak would start in net for the Habs tonight.

The game is not televised locally, but is available on Center Ice...just be warned though that the broadcast is in FRENCH!

Wonder how many local establishments with CI will actually show the game...maybe they will just have it on mute?

i am guessing about mason. so if anyone hears anything let me know and i will update the probables. figured barry would want vokie against the wangs.

if you are in a bar i doubt you can hear the call anyways, french, english or swedish.

less than 2900 tixs left according to the preds website. could be better, has been worse. i am doing my part. talked a buddy into going and got the discount seats in section 112. i'll be the one cheering for the preds. i will now have seen the leafs, habs and sens in the same season. hopefully we can make it 3-0 vs eastern canada.

i forgot to mention it was $2 beer night through the 1st Int. <in best homer voice> mmmmmm, beeeeeerrrr

Did my part too. Today at lunch the server started talking to me about the Predators (I was wearing a Predators hat) and mentioned that he goes to games occasionally with his roommate and has tickets for Saturday's game...but he hasn't been in a while and really wished he could go before then too.

I informed him of our game tonight and he called his roommate and they are attending tonight as well as Saturday night. He also informed me that he intends on getting no less than half-season tickets for next season and really hopes he can get together the money to purchase full-season tickets.

The excitement about this team is building. Wear your stuff when you can and you will be surprised how many people will talk to you about it. We all have a responsibility to grow our sport and I know many of you that post here do your fair share. Continue to do your part and ask your friends to help out too.

The only ones that are $2 are miller lite, bud light, and bud on draft. So only swill, but $2 beer is $2 beer!

Its mostly Bud & Bud Light draft (in a 16 oz plastic cup). But, near the section 111/112 entrance, there is a concession stand that sells Miller Lite draft as well.

Limit 2 per person.

My only pet peave is that it makes the restroom lines longer on beer night! hehehehe

Oh how I wish ...
Getting more people to the game by offering cheap beer.
Over here it's actually illegal to even have commercials for any form of alcohol (if sent from sweden, sat channels doesn't have to bother).

To make it even more hilarious they've solved that by having commercials and sponsoring for non-alcoholic beer ...

"This show is presented by Carlsberg (non-alcoholic)"

Btw, what's the normal price for a beer at the game?

I believe its $7 or $8 for a monster size beer and $4.50 (?) for the average size swill.... (correct me if I'm wrong folks)

(The extra $1 gets charged for "premium" beer in the 32 oz size)

I've been living in Taiwan for almost a year now and as such have seen far too many commercials, but here I'd say at least 1/3 are alcohol commercials.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to watching this in french. It will bring me back to the days of listening to Remparts games in french, just to hear, "RADU! RADU! RADU!!!!!!!" Hopefully I hear some of that, tonight

I hadn't thought of that. Weren't those some great times? As you said...hopefully we hear some of that tonight...although since Radulov is playing for the visitors this time...the enthuaism will not be as strong as it was for the Remparts.

I think the "monster" beer is between 24 and 32 oz, and the regular size from the concession stand is between 14 and 16 oz.

I love beer, but rarely have any at the Preds' games due to the cost.

Huge game for both of us, first place on the line for you guys, playoffs on the line for us. Andrei Kostitsyn has been recalled and will look to do some damage, he has been getting fed up in the minors and has been tearing it up because of it. He recently had a kid with his wife and she has come to Canada i believe. This would most likely mean Higgins is out which is good news for you guys, but Saku is back and so is Ryder. Jaroslav Halak should be pumped as well, enjoy the game.

Cheers, Montreal Russians.

hmm, which equates to 30ish SEK for a pint of lager.
Same as I pay at my local pub.

But lager in monster size kind of scares me, tends to go flat unless you drink it very fast.

But maybe it's a reasonable thing to chose at a game, unless you can watch the game from the bar

I attended the 2003 NHL Entry Draft here in Nashville when Kostitsyn was drafted 10th overall by Montreal. I'm looking forward to seeing him play his first game here (I wish him luck as long as he stays off the score sheet ).

Here's to an exciting game!
