Via @adbrandt, DRC gets $10M signing bonus, $750K salary this year, $4.25M salary and $1M roster bonus on 2015. So $16M in first two years.

Ralph Vacchiano ‏@RVacchianoNYDN 1h
If my math is right, that puts DRC's 2014 cap number at a reasonable $2.75M (give or take a small bonus or two). #NYG

I'm in the same boat, he'll have a wealth of weapons but still find a way to produce an extremely underwhelming special teams.

Also, since Kiwi just took a paycut, we can still sign more people.

Cap circumvention is sooo easy in the NFL.

Pretty much. You can backload a bunch of deals to make a run & then have a massive exodus. & start over.

Not really. All money you pay players has to be accounted for.

It's the reason giants had so little cap space to work with last season and couldn't do much about it

The Giants backfield is officially elite.

Trumaine McBride, Prince Amukamara, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Walter Thurmond III, Antrel Rolle, Stevie Brown, and Will Hill.

That's the best we've had in YEARS.

I wonder if the moves in the secondary, LB and OL frees Reese up to draft a pass-rusher in the first round.

They should play all long downs in a dime with Thurmond and Rolle sitting near the line on the inside. Give Rolle a lot of blitz plays.

Very nice of Kiwi to take a paycut, he and JPP are going to have the full load at end this year. No more rotational 4 pass rushers.

I would be OK with drafting Donald. Not thrilled, but OK with it.

I'd prefer offensive weapons, though.

It's pretty clear that they are going all in. It makes sense as Eli isn't getting any younger. No time for a rebuild. Go into the draft, get two immediate players in the first two rounds, and step on the gas.

Eli needs a safety valve, be it a big Burress-like receiver or a dependable tight end. Eli likes big targets, and right now he has none. Randle, Jernigan, and Cruz have speed, so it doesn't need to be a game-breaker. Just a big guy with good hands.

I think they need to beef up both lines in the draft honestly. Time to get back to Giant football which means they need more physical play at the point of attack.

I think they take a DE in the draft that may help. Who do they have currently at DT and DE?

I thought the JPP of tight ends was supposed to be that?

I don't think he needs big targets, I think he needs a good running game and a more polished and physical offensive line.

I agree. Manning loves those lobs to the corner of the end-zone to his big receiver.

Sounds like he needs 6'5 230lbs Mike Evans

Giacomini and Thurmond moving to NY. Will be easy to keep track of these Seahawks. A lot of players leaving this off-season

Like it. Depth 3rd WR that knows Eli. Also, that catch in the second Super Bowl victory.

I'd have him 4th below JJ.

I assume we'll be using more 4WR sets, though, so I think both him and JJ get plenty of playing time.

He sucked when he played other than one game. I don't think anyone has signed him.

Earliest I see the Giants go to take a receiver, especially in this draft, is the 2nd. Earliest.

No pass rushers. You lost Linval, Osi, Tuck. Who are your linebackers? Beason and Herzlich? Kiwi? And your front 4? JPP and...

To make matters worse, you guys had one of the worst o-lines in the league last year. You signed 1 lineman, and still have no center.

No TE. No #2 WR. And a pair of mediocre (at best) rb's.

What won them both superbowls was their ridiculous front line. Both times they went all the way that was the defining part of their defense that really came up big for them. Their CB's/S's were guys who underperformed who greatly benefited from that front line.

I wouldn't expect Evans, or even Ebron. You guys have had just as many whole to fill as the Jets. The difference is that you guys were actually active. Still a lot of work to do for G-Men.

I'm gonna guess you get a pass rusher in the 1st. A lineman in the 2nd, whether it be o or d. Then go TE/WR in the 3rd.
Cruz was undrafted.

Nicks was a 1st.
Manningham was a 3rd
Randle was a 2nd
