I heard/read somewhere that he was being played on the left side in the AHL for most of the season and that his play started improving when he was moved back to his preferred off-wing.

He also didn't score for like the first 25 games, then started producing very well in the last 20 games in the AHL.

So pretty much he is a right winger and not a left winger. Wow we could be getting robbed here just because of that. Good thing it was caught now.

I like that Jensen is having some success in his time in the NHL. He looks very good. And he has a release no one else on the team has.

But...c'mon, he's ruining the tank job.

Hey yeah down with Jensen! TBH I wouldn't mind getting Virtanen though at like 10th overall. I hope we can get him and add to the left wing because our LW is weaker than the RW.

Future top six:

Shinkaruk - ??? - Jensen
Virtanen - Horvat - Kassian

??? = Good young player from Kesler trade.

I slagged the guy quite a bit, but knew he had skill.

Just seemed like a player that needs confidence from the coach; in order for him to be successful. If he sticks, he will be a good player.

At 10th there are a lot of guys in the mix. Nylander, Virtanen, Ritchie, Perlini, Kapanen would all be good picks. I don't know if Ho-Sang is a reach here.

I'd rather just tank out though and hopefully snag MDC or Draisaitl at 6th if one of them slips

Or win the lottery and take a Sam....pleeaaaseee

He scored at a 50 goal pace when he scored his second goal of the season in the ahl. Slumped hard before.

Ahl coach did wonders

Didn't he have a concussion last year as well? That would also help explain the tentativeness we all saw and read about early this year. Many observers said he looked lost and behind the play at times.

This is the Jensen that we saw in camp after the draft. Guy with the potential to score 25 goals and be a legit top 6 winger.

I'll take Jensen. We have enough two-way center's.

Still would probably take Jensen since he's 6'3 with that scoring ability.

If he gets the puck on his stick in a scoring area (with enough time to take a shot) its in the back of the net 8 times out of 10. At either level.

I like Jensen but come on man, there are only a couple players in the entire league that you can say that about.

Take a step back and enjoy his development, you are setting yourself up for disappointment with those kind of expectations...like you probably did with Shirokov.

Thats his strength, a great shot. One of those guys if given time + space like I said is tough to stop.

I'm not saying he's going to score 50 goals I'm just illustrating his greatest strength that he has demonstrated at in both leagues.

(FWIW, I never had huge expectations for Shirokov as I didn't think he would get the opportunity, and I'll change my post to 8/10)
