if Pouliot cant play i hope Haggerty gets a look. i dont want Dorsett back in the lineup unless a last option. he stinks.
Pretty sure Pouliot will be back, his wife already gave birth so no reason why he won't be able to fly out before tomorrow. But if not I'd assume we call Miller up before throwing Haggerty in like that.

Diaz skating with Staal instead of Stralman.. interesting. Stralman's play has definitely hit a low point lately.

does this mean when Callahan comes back to MSG, Rangers will make him a special video as well??
Nash was on Columbus for 9 seasons and was the only face of the franchise they've ever had. He definitely deserves a video tribute when he returns there.

Callahan could possibly get one here, he was the captain of the team for a few seasons and was a fan favorite. Of any former Rangers currently he would be the most deserving.

You're correct. They would 100% call up Miller before ever letting Haggerty get a game. There is no way with how crucial these games are they're going to let a kid with zero pro experience get a game. I don't know why anyone thinks that is an option.

so basically they are burning a year to have a player not even dress. what a waste.. they must really like him if they would consider doing this

It has already been discussed several times that the knocking a year off his ELC was probably incentive for him to sign in NY.

Of all the things to get miffed about, a year of ELC on an unproven undrafted player.

Is every single one of your posts going to be bashing Nash, bro?

Exactly. Columbus has been a piss poor organization ever since it existed. Rick Nash wass pretty much the only positive thing about that organization. Believe me Nash has his flaws but he was consistently their best player pretty much since he was drafted

Will be interesting watching Haggerty in the 4th line, hopefully some instant chemistry.

Does he have a shirt number yet?

He keeps #39, the number he wore at RPI. Not that I think he'll play this year unless the Rangers clinch early or fall out of the playoff race.

Don't think he will play tomorrow though.

It's like AV said, we need experienced players out there, games are too important now.

Well being that nearly every big man they sign or trade for has a concussion history & continues to get concussed as a Ranger plays a pretty big part.

YAY RANGERS!

Must get a win.

No help from Montreal either....
But hopefully they have tired legs from playing last night + travel.

Players really need to step up, especially MSL.

id like to see Hagelin Richards Fast at some point...

Rangers leader in hits is Girardi with only 168..

Clutterbuck with 227 hits 5th in the league and is only 5'11 206...

Jagr in 69 games only has 2 hits.

Zuccarello in 65 games 95 hits

28 games for JT Miller 40 hits.

Kreider 63 games 140 hits.
Callahan 158 hits but in only 53 games.

Forget seeded position, they are holding onto the 8th seed by 1 point over Detroit who has a game in hand. A win in regulation tonight is critical.

Agree. This is about getting to the playoffs. Worry about the seeding if the team even get there. Lose this one, and it looks ugly.

We've seen this song and dance before. It will come down to the last game of the season. Hopefully it's fully in our hands by that time.

From the CBJ side it will be interesting to see what happens with Nash. I won't be surprised by cheers, I also won't be surprised by boos. Tonight is VERY important.

CBJ also currently have 15 healthy forwards. Umberger was scratched last night, I don't know whether that holds or whether he draws back in. With the compact schedule the team is playing, I don't know how Richards will handle ice time.

I watched the CBJ game last night, and they didn't scare me off, to put it that way. They had a 5 on 3 situation for 45 seconds with only one shot on goal. Creds for the win though.

But I'll be impressed if they win tonight, having a tough schedule, while the Rangers have been walking the streets of Columbus for a couple of days...

We have better d and goalie ...on most nights

Jackets top 9 with more heart, grit and jam for the most part

Edge to jackets for team buying in with no gliders out there

4 - 2 jackets- take it to the bank

I'm not taking anything to the bank that is contingent upon unsubstantiated platitudes.

When we had a grinding team, everyone said we'd lose because we have less skill. Now we have a skill team, much stronger on paper than Columbus. We should win, we've been under performing all year, I think they are going to start to kick it into gear and get some of the luck we've been missing in the San Jose and other games.
