The last four games my prediction has been 8-6 opposing team with Grossmann scoring the first goal.

That will continue.

Looks like the puck hit a stick right to a star so I can really pin that on read. I need another look at it though. Read is usually very responsible.

Yep, and Raffl still gets shifts with Couturier and Read throughout the game, as well as PK minutes.

The coaching staff has done a great job with the forwards. The only decision that I kind of disagree with is having Downie on the powerplay.

I've been saying for a while his stats with 3 days rest are amazing. This team needs a solid backup!

12-3-1 in their last 16, I do believe.

So you guys are actually going to disagree that Downie shouldn't be playing, Gus deserves to be playing, and Raffl should be getting more icetime since he brings a lot to the team?

OK then

For next year's bottom 6.
It looks funny when I see Couturier and Read listed in the bottom six because only one forward on the team averages more ice time than those two and that's Giroux. I really believe that next season, Berube rewards them with more play in the offensive zone.

Berube took over a team 3 games into a season. He had no offseason or training camp to prepare. They went from 1-7-1, dead last in the division, to 2nd in the division. Do the players deserve a lot of credit? Yes. But Berube deserves a lot as well. Just because he makes questionable lineup decisions doesn't mean he's an awful coach.

No. Most of us would agree. We're just saying that all that doesn't make Berube a bad coach.

Not sure how anyone can disagree with what I'm saying, it's basically common sense. Play good people more, play bad people less. I can draw a picture in crayon if it'd help.

Would love Gus to play, but Gross has been a lot better as of late, but Gus should play more. If they want Raffl on the 4 th , that's fine, but Downie is a horrible option on the third line. There are minimum 3 Phantoms better suited to play over Downie

Yup. Every coach has a flaw or two. His defensive system seems to be working great. Unlike Lavi, he tailored a style of play that works for these players.

Lineup decisions are what the coach has most control over, and he makes very very questionable ones. Sure coaches have their systems but it all comes down to the players executing and playing well.

You were the one who was proved wrong about starting Emery against Chicago being giving up on the game.

You are the one who is making a fool of himself by calling Berube a joke of a coach.

Keep it up and you'll just end up being added to a whole lot of ignore lists tonight.

I think Gus over luke is going to work. Gus and mac can be your 2nd pairing and keep streit and grossman as your 3rd pairing with grossman getting a lot of pk minutes nad streit a lot of pp minutes.

Yeah i don't know how anyone could possibly criticize Chief at this point. I'd like to see more of Gus too, and everyone agrees that Raffl is well above a 4th line talent, but it is what it is.

They're not even really utilizing him to his full potential neither. I understand why with the first unit having good chemistry but it just goes to show how good a year he's having despite that with 32 points.

IN all fairness no one wanted emery out there, and after 5 minutes everyone was asking for him to be pulled.

Nope. Lots of people, including myself, thought giving Mason a rest was the smart move. Read the first few pages of the Chicago GDT.

And to keep the Isles player love going, I hope we sign Montoya in the off season to be Mason back up, should be able to get him on a 2 yr deal at about 1 mill per.
