I think I hate Neal more than Crosby or Malkin at this point... if not then it's very close.

Neal is going to have a short career with a target on his back and his own concussion problems. It may not be a Flyer but someone is going to take this guy out big time eventually.

Kukla's is all things Red Wings usually. On that site, a Legwand butt-end can be seen, too (scroll).

I'll be honest. I don't hate crosby. I hated his antics and his extra curriculars that he always use to do and then hide behind kunitz or malone but now he just plays hockey.

Neal is public enemy 1 and malking is a distant 2nd.

And it's really going to be his own fault too, you can't do stuff like this and then be surprised when people retaliate. You'd think someone who's had his own concussion problems would be a bit more sensitive when it comes to this kind of thing.

I didn't see any butt-end.

It was probably in response to a Shrek elbow.

Bobby clarke really needs to show legwand how to butt end a player.

I think his physical style will do him in more than anything, he's already had a few concussions in the last two years.

The guy has show his unwillingness to fight in the past & he isn't exactly small so I don't think there's much other players can do to him honestly.

Gustafsson is better than Grossmann, but there is obviously no reason to change the lineup right now.

I wouldn't say he's stopped with that kind of thing, he still gets away with **** and dives because he knows he'll be protected. But I get your point, it's hard to hate someone who acts like a baby over someone who's a dirty cheapshotting *******. My top 4 most hated are easily Neal, Malkin, Crosby, and Marchand in not particular order.

and grossman is better than luke

Coburn Kimmo
Mac Gus

Streit Grossman

That could be a solid playoff pairing right there.

I figured that Malkin's testicles were plenty safe on Couturier's mantlepiece.

I have to disagree. You don't think if he tries to hit Giroux or Couturier ala 2012 that Simmonds or somebody else woudnt jump this guy in a second? Or even better, Rosehill? I know the Flyers are tougher than most teams but theres plenty of guys that would love to tear Neal's head off. He should be thankful he only has to play the Flyers 6 times a year.

Timonen and Schenn played the least minutes tonight. Nice to have MacDonald who can handle some of Kimmo's minutes.m

It's hard to find many statistics, or eyeball tests, that prove Grossmann is better than Schenn.

i'll agree with that, the Grossmann situation isn't an immediate concern anymore, I kinda added the Gus part as a half joke. However, I do actually think the Downie/Raffl thing is an immediate concern. Downie adds nothing positive to the team and routinely hurts them by making stupid moves. I'm worried at some point he's going to lose us a vital game, like in the playoffs, because of doing something boneheaded. Raffl is a great asset to have and I think he's being seriously underused. I get that he makes the 4th line usable but i think he'd be more valuable in a bigger role on the 3rd line (which is really our 2nd line) much better than making a line that gets >10min game usable. He'd make the Couturier/Read line better defensively and better offensively, plus he won't take stupid penalties.

That sequence where MacDonald banked the puck off the boards past 2 Stars was great.

Yep. "Bad" Luke was back. There was that play where he took an easy pass in their zone, coughed it up to Nichushkin and then got run over by Nichushkin, failing to impede him from moving the puck into a scoring opportunity.

I wasn't impressed by Luke tonight.

Simmonds had his opportunity to do so in the playoffs that year when he two-handed Neal a few times in the leg & Neal still wouldn't go. Hartnell last year after the Voracek goal as well. The instigator rule really neuters any opportunity to get after guys like Neal.

He didn't get run over my nichuhkin he hit him against the boards and fell on his ass. That is more a balance thing. After that he set up wayne simmonds with a down the middle career ender.

Only got to see the highlights, but it looked like a solid win. Both Stars goals were on weak second chances.

Super psyched to see the boys playing so well!!!

I really can't blame Simmonds for not jumping him then. It was during the playoffs. It ain't worth a suspension then. Hartnell did jump him but the Refs hopped in. Look what happened when Erskine went after Vinny. 3 Flyers including MacDonald in his first game here attacked him. I have no doubts the same thing would happen with Neal.

One bad period doesn't change the many entire bad games Grossmann has had. He's also the most one dimensional Dman on the team, when he's on the ice it's basically a 4 man attack with him serving as a rudimentary outlet to get the puck to his partner. Reminds me of Carle on offense in Philly, but with less passing ability.
