Isn't it funny how every year, we lose some key players going into the playoffs (or close to)
Either way, both Prust and Gorges are the kind of guys you need more of during a playoff run. Not good news. Hopefully they'll both be healthy by playoff time...

For sure. It might not be too fair to say one injury is more important than the other.. but this injury, hurts a little more for me.

Hoping both are healthy for playoffs. Huge boost to the team if so.

#Habs advise Prust will be out for the reminder of the regular season with an upper body injury. To be re-evaluated at start of playoffs.

Kind of expected to hear this. White has been solid though, should be alright. Hope he is good to go for the playoffs.

Well clearly he had a shoulder issue at the beginning of the season. If he had just went and got surgery instead of fighting through it, we'd be in a better position today.

Dont watch too many Habs games, how important and vital is Prust to your lineup. Has he contributed a lot in the last week or so?

Probably been his best week this season, to be honest. He hasn't been as good as last year, well, nobody has, but we all expect it is because he has a nagging injury he'll get operated on in the summer.

He sticks up for the teammates, not saying the others don't, but Prust fights.

I have confidence with some rest he'll be back for the playoffs. He needs to take it easy, swallow the bitter pill, and have surgery after the playoffs are done.

It sucks, but the Habs have enough depth to shoulder his loss for the remainder of the season. Let's hope he's healthy come playoff time. I prefer him to Bourque, White and Weise.

Losing Prust is somewhat managable because of the acquisition of Dale Weise...

Solid move by Bergevin

Diaz meanwhile...

Balls.

Not surprising, though.

Too bad we can't have Bourque play the same style as Prust... he'd probably earn a full time spot on the lineup if he decided to.

This is why GMs like MB go out and find players like Weaver, Weise, etc. Sucks to lose your regulars but it happens, sucks even more if you gotta replace him with a AHLer instead of NHLer.

Makes the Weise acquisition even better. Good move by Bergevin indeed. But will Prust ever be healthy enough?

He'd been really implicated physically lately and had a nice line going with Weise and Moen, consistantly in oppositions zone cycling puck, looked like it would be a really good playoff line. But we got decent depth at 4th line

Well Weise was fine 'cause he's proving he can do the job. But Weaver.....I'd have Tinordi or Beaulieu ahead of him.

Bournival will be back soon as well, sucks that Prust is hurt but we have a lot of depth in our bottom 6 to make up for it at least.

The depth's there so I'm not that worried but I just feel bad for Prusty

Other than the Colorado game Prust hasn't been overly effective this season, when he's actually played.

It's okay, we have more than enough bottom sixers to cover his loss.
