Tinordi is really really overrated here, he's good, but he's not NHL ready, I'm fine with him being benched from time to time, or even sent down to the Bulldogs.

Not to mention his "1 ****ing mistake" cost us the game at a time where we can't really waste points..

ok for me with tinordi replaced by Murray. Tinordi is still on a trial. Build you way to the playoffs with your team, not your experiments.

There is no chance Vanek ends up on Galchenyuk's wing, especially now that he and Pacioretty have developed some chemistry. Therrien won't do that. I don't understand why he even broke up last night's lineup to begin with. Adding Bourque to the roster isn't going to help. The team just didn't show up last night. And scratching Tinordi for Murray after ONE mistake...old school coaching at its finest. Its humiliating.

I doubt that. Looking at Tampa's schedule and the way they've played this year, I think they get in and in the top 3. That means one of us(Montreal-Toronto) is getting Pittsburgh or Boston. I honestly don't even mind playing the ruins

Here is the Bolts schedule

What did you guys expect Bourque to say even if he did speak to Therrien?

i'm not the biggest MT fan, but people go out of their way to try to knock him any chance they get

Maybe Bourque should of said "Yes, coach Therrien spoke to me and told me to score more goals"

Which we have learned that is completetly the opposite with Roy and his players and that's why they like him so much. These coaches that "punish" their players mentality no longer works in today's world

I love Tinordi but I agree with you. I want him to stick with the team so he could learn, but I have no problems with him a healthy scratch from time to time. He's probably capable of playing as a full time NHL'er, but it may not be what's best for the team.

Too little too late. You don't throw in a 20 year old into the centre position for the first time right before the playoffs, especially with Bourque. I give it 1 game max before Therrien puts him back to the wing.

It doesn't mean much. They have to try him there in the practices, and give him chance to work on his face offs skills. I am not sure they gonna throw the kid in an actual game against the arch rivals Leafs. The two points are more important....

But, Eller was on the 4th line. I think that's a message Therrien is sending him.

Kid deserves it and if he stays there he will be rolling right into the playoffs. To me Vanek takes ssooo much pressure off the kid and his line. Teams will need to put their shutdown line on DD/MP/TV and that will help Chucky get going

It could work....but if i would put Galchenyuk at center, i would use him in an ideal situation. Bourque and Gionta is a long shot from being ideal.

Vanek-Pacioretty-Gallagher.....at least put one of these guy with him. Only one.

And if you wanna put marginal players with him, at least use a physical/gritty guy to protect him and create time and space for him. As crazy as it sounds, i would've love Weise more than Bourque on that line.

Kinda funny how fans wanted Galchenyuk at C for months and management finally gives it a shot when basically its too late in the season to allow him any leash for the mistakes.-_-

Basically this is a 1 period try out.

Vanek - Desharnais - Pacioretty is working really, really well.

Gallagher - Plekanec and Briere (I think) played fine together.

Who else is left?

Chuckie at center is awesome but with Bourque and Gionta, that experiment will only last 1 game...

That top line is working well on the PP. They're getting hemmed in their own zone at even strength. They scored a couple even strength goals, but odds are they will start giving up some goals against at even strength.

And that leaves:

Bourque-Galchenyuk-Gionta
Moen-Eller-Weise

Pacioretty-Day-Har-Nay-Vanek

Briere-Plekanec-Gallagher

Bourque-Galchenyuk-Gionta

Moen-Eller-Weise

It's actually not too bad when looking at it written out. Especially if Bourque is motivated from being parked in the press box, if he isn't. 3rd line won't see much ice time.

I don't mind it. Tinordi didn't have a good game and Murray has not played that bad to deserve to be benched. You deserve your ice time by contributing and playing well no matter how old you are. And based on last few games, Murray deserves to play over Tinordi. It's not the end of the world.
