If only Calgary could play every game on the road.

If the Flames make the playoffs, they're going to have issues if they don't have home ice advantage.

Definetly, and our Blue-line not only becomes better, but more meaner:

Boynton-Smith
Staios-Hejda
Shaggy-Greene
Smid

Though i would like to ad someone for the PP, maybe Berard, i know he sucks in his own zone, but give him butter soft minutes, then our blueline looks like:

Boynton-Smith
Staios-Hejda
Shaggy-Berard
Greene

Much better if you ask me

It was sweet. They knock Fluff-Fluff (Phaneuf) on his ass and then follow up with the game winner.

The Flames are in a tailspin they are playing REAL sloppy hockey right now.

All I can say is thank goodness Edmonton won tonight.

Getting Stuart hasn't exactly done wonders for Calgary yet, eh?

Reminds me of a Edmonton with Roloson last year... I hope the reminders stop in the playoffs though...

Yeah, same here.

We got Rollie and Samsonov at the deadline, and all the media guys were crooning about how Lowe was the belle of the ball...then the Oilers actually had to play the games. Things got a bit pear shaped for a while after that.

The Flames are really bad right now. I think the Oilers have a better chance of catching Calgary than Minnesota if this keeps up. The Wild are a strong hockey club right now and show little signs of breaking. Plus there are a ton of rumours out there that they may add Souray.

Well then that's not such good news for the Oilers, since 5 of their last 21 games are against these guys.

If Calgary's the new target, the Wild could really screw with us.

Things would've been so much simpler around here if the Oilers would've ran away with the division title like they were supposed to.

It would be sooooo incredibly sweet to knock Calgary out of the playoffs...

Improbable, but not impossible...

I am all for Minnie picking up Souray. I think that would be the best thing that could happen to us.

It could happen. The Flames are really bad right now, and the Oilers I think play them a few times yet, don't they? Really, the hardest part will not be the head to head matchups, but just keeping pace. And that doesn't include the Avs pushing the Oilers for that last spot either - but I don't think that's going to happen.

I hope so.

If that happened, it'd make this entire season -- everything -- worth it.
