Rhett Warrener article

http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Calgar...04/335210.html

I guess all the blame can't be placed on Turek... or maybe Turek paid him to say it. All I can say is I am so glad that we got Warrener on the blueline. This guy is going to be key for us to make the playoffs. That's if he can stay healthy.

I miss Rhett!

And I can say that, in hindsight, I wouldn't be too disappointed at all if the Drury deal had stopped at Ballard for Reinprecht... I like Chris, but Warreners are tough to come by IMHO.

We can only hope that the rest of the team feels as strongly about our their recent play as Rhett does.

Rhett rocks!!!

A lot of Sabres fans weren't pleased to be losing Warrener. The word on the street is that Darcy Regier had offered Jay McKee, but Daryl Sutter insisted on Rhett Warrener. The right decision was made.

I think that was a GREAT aquisition. The dressing room was getting too used to losing, it was becoming acceptable. Sutter has brought in people who won't put up with that. He is a great leader - and should maybe even be the captain.

Interesting that you should mention that, because DFF's favorite GM tried to do the same thing. He spoke of wanting to end the culture of losing, and attempted to bring in players/coaches from winning backgrounds.
