Rene Bourque doesn't like Montreal

I've heard that Bourque doesn't like Montreal, the city, the attention. He desperately wants a trade out preferably out west. I've heard he would prefer Edmonton, Calgary, even Chicago. I wonder who we could get from these teams if he can get his value up and actually play and earn a spot in the line up?
I'd love to see a deal worked out with Edmonton for Yakupov. What are the thoughts and ideas on this topic out there?

Why would we want Yakupov? Taylor Hall or bust.

Let's be real here-I'm sure there is not much interest for his services. Trading him will not be that easy.

By the way, what is your source that RB doesn't like Montreal?

I work with his cousin.

It's been obvious Bourque doesn't want to be here from the moment he first arrived in the media scrum. Looked like he was going to cry when he said he doesn't speak French despite his name. Guy really did not want to be here/leave Calgary.

How about you explain your source before we start discussing its preposition as fact.

Oilers would never trade Yakupov for Bourque, that'd be like one of the worst trades of all time. But I admit I'd love to see Yakupov and Galchenyuk go at it like they did in junior.

Lots of free time at work, happened to get into a hockey discussion. Turns out I work with his cousin and he was telling me how he hates Montreal and desperately wants a trade out. I know it may not be the best source but given his performance and obvious lack of emotion with the Canadiens it makes sense. Hence why I labelled the thread as speculation.

At this point we should be completely satisfied with a 7th rounder in 2020 for him.

More than likely though what's gonna happen is a deadweight vs deadweight type of deal... like Bourque for someone like Ryan Jones... think that's what gonna happen.

I wish tonight is the last game he plays in this uniform... get this lazy no heart player off this team.

If I was an athlete, I'm not sure I would like Mtl either. At least not today's Mtl.

Bourque isn't going to get you anywhere near Yakupov in a trade...

Bourque would basically be a "throw-in" type of player with no value at all in a real deal for Yakupov.

He would like the city more if he was performing better.

Don't know what's plaguing Rene, he always seems so lethargic.

Yakapov has never scored 27 goals once in his career, let alone twice. so Bourque is not quite worthless.

Maybe he just needs a coach who knows how to better utilize his skills.

We'd look pretty ridiculous if we got a 7th pick for him and he went on to become the scorer he was before.

Cgy traded him because he had become a slacker. He never showed much in MTL aside from those few games where he looked amazing then got injured (last year i think).

He's gonna slack no matter which team he plays for and he's probably gone from the NHL once his contract is over.

Get real guys, no one in the league wants René Bourque. We're lucky if we get a 5th for him.

No one would care about your feelings because then you would be paid millions to play the most beautiful sport on earth.

If I was a GM I wouldn't want any of these drama queens on my team, they should just shut up and play. 100% of NHL players have it very good and are in no situation to complain about the city they live in.

We'd be lucky to trade him away, period. We would really need that cap space.

Not sure about this.

And I don't think people have been critical of Bourque. I mean, they have, but nobody talks about him all that much. I mean, before yesterday where I heard he was on the wing in practice, I forgot he was even on the team.

I'm pretty sure he lives a peaceful life in terms of criticism and media attention.
I don't think that's the problem.
