Good. It will do him good. He's stagnant out there. I remain very optimistic about his future though.

Well I guess this removes the Kostitsyn-Calder argument.

Yeah... some people bashes him due to Carbo's decisions... I think he's doing ok for his first season with the Habs... maybe a bit too much ice time but that's not his decision.

he could still win it this season

well lats needs to come back down to earth, he WAS taking it for granted, he needs to continue to work harder. i am not dissapointed, i know he can do well in the future, but using him in the top 6 consistently may be just to much for him at this point, and i think perz and kosty deserve to have their fair shot as well considering the chances Lats has gotten this season

I'm starting to think that maybe Carbo reads the posts here

It's a temporary setback. The kid has a future, but he must work on his skating.

I don't think it's Carbo's fault, and I don't think it's due to lack of effort. I just think he's just worn down mentally and physically.

This is his first year as a pro, and he's really young. He seems to be trying the same stuff out there every shift and coming up empty. This is a sign of inexperience playing a long season.

The tools and the smarts are there. He'll be a useful player for years to come.

I think Lats needs to go back to the basics of what he is supposed to do, hit, Go in corners, fetch the puck, pass it and install your self in front of the goalie.

I just hope it doesn't ruin his confidence, or have negative impact on his development. It's an odd position that Latendresse has been put in this season.

Actually, Perron mentionned last night that Gui is playing himself out of the line-up. However, Villeneuve didn't feel the need to comment on it obviously.

As far as I am concerned, Gui as nothing to be ashamed of. He is trying out there but the game as picked up a lot of pace since two - three weeks. I guess teams are into playoff mode now. As a 19 year old, he probably is out of gas. Well, I guess AK will get to stay a 'lil longer. Unless Milroy is the one that will be sent down when Higgins or Kovy comes back. So many possibilities, cannot "compute" anymore.
