No problem, but if not for the refs you'd be lower in the standings

Times Shorthanded since 2001-2002 season:

2007-2004 & 2002
29. TBL '07: 237 '06: 390 '04: 278 '02: 273
30. NJD '07: 206 '06: 348 '04: 266 '02: 265

2003
29. MIN 308
30. NJD 264

That means that for at least the past 5 seasons, the Devils have been the least penalized team in the league with Tampa being the 2nd with the exception of 1 season.

NYR:
'02: #01 398
'03: #09 388
'04: #04 388
'06: #15 486
'07: #20 301

What expectations do you have on a goalie if you blame Lunqvist for this loss?

I don't see who exactly is blaming him for this loss.

Damn I love MSG. Lost my phone yesterday night at the game, was in a horrible mood today because I was going to have to buy another one and my entire phonebook was lost..but MSG found my phone, went through it and called my sister to let them know they had the phone there.

Thank you MSG

They even told me they find about 30 phones an event that people lose

Movie theaters report the same on weekend nights

Not in the least because the statement was not about those players. It was about the traditional argument used against Brodeur. At one time people wrote that Brodeur was a product of the exceptional defense that played in front of him. Those players are gone, however, and Brodeur's continued excellence proves that the assertion holds no merit and never did. Thus, the claim has changed to discuss the system rather than the excellence of the players in front of Brodeur.
In a sense I agree with you that those asertions didn't hold water. I've always felt that it was the system and as I said, Lou was smart to bring in one coach after the other who is schooled in that system. Therein lies the key to their success and becuase of that success as collie campbell said the sum of the individual parts don't equal the whole. If you have any doubts look at the results when he's strayed from those montreal system bred coaches, no so good.

As far Brodeur goes Hasek has had better individual stats and he certainly didn't play in the same type of defense first system as Marty has. Bottom line, you have a real good goalie you structure your team and the style your team plays around him. Somewhere in that last sentence is a message for the NYR front office.
