Actually it is a big deal. If you're going to talk about an event that happened you damn well better know all the details. Otherwise you're just an ignorant fool.

If I boo Carter tonight it won't have anything to do with his tenure as a Flyer, it will have to do with how unprofessional he was in Columbus and how he cried and sulked his way out of town.

I couldn't give less of a **** what other fan bases think of Philadelphia as a sports town but people tend to get bothered by it because it is brought up over and over again by the national media.

They never mention giving Mario a standing ovation for coming back from cancer. They only mention booing Santa and the sick **** puking on a kid at a Phillies game.

If you're not a Philadelphia fan, you'll never understand why it bothers people around here.

Why are we boo'ing either of them?

Both clearly didn't want to go, and Richie/Carts still remain close friends with Harts and G.

I'll love the Flyers until the day I die, but I'l never understand the treatment of #18 and #17.

I would definitely rather have Emery tonight and Mason vs New York. I don't really care if we lose tonight as long as we win on Wednesday. I'm tired of losing to the Rangers in MSG. I hate it.

Smart move to start Emery. Doesn't mean it'll work about but it's the smart move.

Should be a good game. Hopefully B Schenn and Simmer will dominate...

Next couple of weeks is going to continue to be a tough schedule so Flyers can't afford any real bad losses that cascade into a losing streak.

Keep the pedal to the metal and throttle LA...

I really never cared for Carter. Don't know if he'll get booed because I'm not sure what the general consensus was. But I was happy to see him go, especiall considering the return

Yea, the date 12/21/11 kind of gives away that its not Phillies related.

That would just basically be murder at a bar, which unfortunately happens everywhere.

That doesn't stop them for booing Richards. They'll cheer for Gagne, Briere and even Umberger then they'll boo Richards and perhaps Carter. I really don't understand why and I think fans who do are stupid.

Richie did get a standing ovation at the start of the game but every time he touched the puck after that he got booed.

I don't really get the Carter hate. He played through a broken foot during that 2010 run, right? Any player who plays through an injury like that has my respect.

And he's a former 40 goal scorer for the Flyers. It's not like they had an abundance of them.

Eh, I really have no problem with it. They cheered for him when he first came back and acknowledged his contributions to the team, which was nice and deserving. He's an opponent now though. It's fine to boo. If he had won a championship here though that would be different. A player who was a part of that imo should never be booed. Jayson Werth is a good example of booing a guy who didn't deserve it. He may have been a dick to fans sometimes but he got us a title we hadn't had in 25 years.

Did they really boo Richards? I definitely remember watching that game but I guess I forgot about the booing...

That's too bad, I don't understand the logic (or lack of) behind booing someone who left on good terms and had only positive things to say about everything related to his time in Philly.
