Anyone who is very familiar with Boston...

I have an interview at John Hancock at 200 Berkeley Street. What subway station is closest to this and what line is it on? Red/green/orange/blue and which stop? Thanks!

Going to the Flyers/Bruins after the interview, should be fun

The Copley or Arlington station off of the Green line.

The streets run alphabetically. Copley is on Dartmouth and Arlington is on Arlington.

Critical Question..

Folks,

I arrive in the Boston at 5 PM (your time)..

Is that enough time to go from the airport and make it to TDBN in time for the puck to drop?

I am going to buy tickets to the Flyers game(March 1), but if you already know there is no way I make it from point A (airport) to B (Onyx Hotel) to C (Fleet)

We are probably doing this via Taxi..

Suggestions? Costs?

Looking at staying near the airport so we can shuttle to the hotel and to the "T". How is the Westin Waterfront and the Comfort Inn Suites in Rovere? We wanted to stay at the Hyatt Harbourside but it's too expensive for our budget.

Westin Waterfront is kind of isolated. It borders on Southie but it's not really close to anything. It is right off the silver line on the T, so easy to get to from the airport and easy enough to get into town. We had friends come into town last weekend and they stayed at the Mariott Long Wharf, it was actually cheaper than the Westin and much more centrally located.

Just checked that Marriot site out...it's about $60 more a night with no shuttles. Thanks for the info though!

Perhaps coming to town, depending on if I find hostels and such...

Hi there!

I'm probably coming to Boston at the end of march.

First;

How's the weather like usually in the end of march?

Second, any good cheap hostels downtown/near downtown? Preferrably downtown.

It'll be a 4-5 day visit.

The idea is to also catch the Penguins @ Bruins on the 29th.

Cheers

There is a thread stickied at the top of this page with traveling to Boston "tips".

As for the weather in March -- usually it's rainy, unless it isn't - then it often cold, but sometimes it can be warm and sunny, unless it is snowing or sleeting.

Honestly, March is the toughest month to nail down in this area. It is not uncommon for the temeperature to range 40-50 degrees in the course of a few days, nor is a blizzard out of the question.

two questions for y'all:

1. there's an earlier post in this thread stating the away-team morning skate is at 11:30. is it open to the public, and is that the right time?

2. I found a hotel called the Shawmut Inn across the street from the arena and it's only $82/night. Is it an ok place to stay?

thanks!!

i'm coming up for the thrashers/bruins game at the end of march. can't wait!!

I don't know anything about it but if it isn't in this thread - it probably is worth skipping.

If you read through this thread (or do a thread search for the word hotel) you'll find many comments about a variety of hotels in many price ranges. I'd stick with something recommended here, if I were you.

Yeah it's rated ONE star and .

I'll be staying at the:

http://www.nextag.com/club-quarters-...on/search-html

I think it'll be a dandy!

Can't wait! Now I just gotta figure out how to learn to speak with the Boston-accent during those 5 days I'll be staying. No better english-accent than that one. None.
