Canadiens' progression through 2003-04

According to this chart, the Habs are now 8 games over .500 for the second time this season... it's really fun to look at the team this way because it's easier to follow.

At the end there it makes a perfect "W"

pretty fitting!

Other interesting stat:

The Habs are 15-8-3-1 when Ribeiro get at least 1 point. That means that 7 of our 8 games above .500 come from games in which Ribeiro scored at least a point.

It's so great to finally have some secondary scoring! Can you imagine when the likes of Kastsitsyn, Perezhogin, Hossa, Balej, etc. come help our 2 scoring lines? We will be a force to reckon with!

Imagine:
Hossa - Koivu - Perezhogin !
Kastsitsyn - Ribeiro - Zednik !
Bulis - Higgins - Ryder !
Langdon - Bégin - Ward !

Do they have that graph for past seasons somewhere?

I'm making it right now... I'm going to have that line for 2003-04 and compare it with the Habs of 2002-03 and 2001-02... it'll be up in maybe like... 20 minutes or so. Maybe 30, depends on how fast I work

The Habs are way higher than the two last seasons!

Keep up the good work! Maybe jl.roberts could insert it in his game-day thread. "The Habs performance in a graph".

I have no idea... but I bet it was a good while ago... maybe back in the Damphousse-Turgeon-Recchi days or something

Looks like someone wasn't very busy at work today! Just kidding, of course. The graphs looks good.

man i would so put AK on the top line instead of hossa! AK on the top line means koive will have 2 guys who are at least 6 footer, who can skate and pass and make good plays at high speeds a la koivu. imagine 2 other guys on koivu's line that have the same talent level as him! he'll be in heaven. that year, if his production ahs dipped much, will probably be his best. even this year with ryder he's doing pretty good considering he missed a lot of games.
i would put Z on his natural position at LW.

AK-Koivu-Perezhogin
Zednick-Ribeiro-Ryder
Hossa-Bulis-Ward
who cares bout the 4th line! look at our top 3. first 2 lines are good scoring lines and our 3rd line is a good checking line with some offensive punch. on top of that you still ahve higgins who can play either 3rd or 4th. oh well, good thing is we'll have depth

Yeah, but... will it stay that way? Things change so quickly in hockey... and we can't just predict a 7-game winning streak like two seasons ago
