Mark Streit

One more year at $600k.

edit: As in...one year left to his cheap contract.

He's great. Too bad we couldn't switch Bouillons 1.9m and his 600k. It would just feel better if they were earning salaries that made sense.

Albeit 1.9m is pushing it for either of them.

Right now, Streit is playing better than Komisarek and Souray.

I'd say that makes him our current #2 d-man.

I love Streit !!

Did you see him today : regular shift on D, jumping in the play at great times, blue line on the PP, AND playing forward on the PK Now THAT is a wise investment !!

He's compensating for other contracts.

I wonder what kind of money he'll be looking at if he keeps this up.

well, if he keeps this up, he'll be a shoe in for the Norris next year. We'll give him 7 mil/5 years.

I was extremely hard on him early last year, but he has looked great at forward and since he's moved back to D he has been our clear #2 behind Markov. So fundamentally sound, pinches well and has adapted to the physical game, he doesn't turn over the puck in the Defensive zone like the other Ds.

I have become a Streit fan and I'm not ashamed of it. He has been great this year.

When he will be an impending UFA, everyone will be calling for a trade "before we lose him".

Even last year, I always had faith in this player. Streit is a very smart and important D-man. Now he finnally can play his style of game when he supports the offensive. And he's exellent doing it.

I think Streit is really playing well on defence of late. He definately deserves some recognition. He's surpassed Boullion and Dandy on the depth chart that is for sure.

I would have agree with you a couple of games ago, but right now, Streit is so good on defence...he's also one of the only defenceman with a real offensive side on our blue line so he's more important out there.

Also, we have more youngsters in front so we don't need Streit at foward position.

Right now, I really hope we'll trade Rivet...he's so expendable right now!
