Cassivi, when does he get his chance?

Johny had a fairly solid game, but he can't play them all. I expect Hanlon to start him in Weds. nights game vs. the Sharks considering its back-to back vs. Montreal on Tuesday.

any thoughts...

Cassivi is not an NHL goaltender, hopefully he won't have to play much.

It doesn't sound like Cassivi will play this weekend.

I'd expect him to head back to Hershey soon and for Max D to get the call to play when needed.

I would much rather see Max D play than Cassivi. Max still has a future, sure its a long shot for him ever to become a quality NHL netminder but you never know till you play him.

Max with another shutout last night. Anyone think that GMGM is keeping Freddie up here to get Max D some playing time in Hershey? Maybe intentionally trying to create a goalie controversy headed into the playoffs?

I think Max needs to be the starter in Hershey next season. Cassivi has been good, but at the end of the day you want to get players who can maybe one day do something for the Caps. And last time I checked Cassivi is a little old to expect much more than what he already does.

I still think Max D has a chance to do something at the NHL level and I would love to see him as a starter for the Bears next season.

I'd ride Johnny, see what you have out of him personally. He has looked decent so far.

Then if I can slip Max D a game or two, I'd do it.

I dont think Cassivi will play. Johnson is going to play til Kolzig comes back or the season ends, which ever comes first.
