We could actually have worst than Therrien. We could have Dallas Eakins. This guy has gone from super clown to ultimate clown.

I told some of my friends that making Phaneuf captain was a mistake, the guy is not a good leader and i think this is their main problem no leadership and i bet most players on the team dislike him.

like when Ranger got hurt and he left to go to dressing room, and let others stay with the injury player, Gionta would never let a teammate down like that, it's a captain job

it's also their job to be the voice of the team, even if you played like crap and you don't let your teammates take the heat, I'm sure every player that talked to the media aren't to happy with him.

I hope they keep him as captain by the way, no teams deserves more than the leafs lol

The Oilers management is a bunch full of clowns. The question is, who's the worst?

He should be immediately fired after benching Hall for smashing a water bottle on the bench and little bit hit Eakins..

The Oilers should hire Therrien when we'll fire him.

It's not a quote. It's an expression as in "The guy was supposed to be the next big thing..."

Gionta has been a pretty good captain, maybe not productive in pts, but no one can say he has no leadership, for a sharp marble you don't seem to know much about hockey

No but he's a good coach to change the team culture and instill a work ethic. His major flaw is that his act wears thin after a while (+ Bouillon love affair ).

I'd love to know what Habs players actually think about their coach.

Yeah I understand criticizing Gionta's play but he's always there working his ass off and seems like a decent guys off the ice.

And you should've done it earlier lol I didn't even know he was still posting here.

And you know this from your extensive time spent in the Canadiens dressing room, right?

Always pictured him as a rugged newfie driving a truck.

Until i watched NHL 24*7 where they show him in his downtown penthouse with a butler and an entire closet filled with suits. Came off as a precious tool to me.

You can do whatever you want in any city but NEVER piss off the reporters in the media. Death nail to many a pro athlete across all sports. The media will be there long after any player in any sport. By not talking to the media after the game, he burned them and reporting it is their only recourse.

Christ, he was clearly wacky from the get-go when he forced the media to only eat fruits and vegetables.

To the chagrin of some of the media members in attendance at day one of Oilers Training Camp, there would be no processed sugar adrenaline rush today.

The normal media breakfast at sporting events consists of coffee and doughnuts but Dallas Eakins, a fitness buff and nutrition driven individual, replaced those sugary treats with fruit, vegetables and Greek yogurt.

“I told you at the very first one, enjoy those doughnuts because you won’t see them again,” said Eakins.

It would seem that the players aren’t the only ones who will be on a strict diet under their new bench boss.

Since it's the Oilers who pay for the freakin' breakfast/snacks, I don't see why it should be the reporters' decision what to eat. They are GUESTS
