I have a sore toe. But it was worth it. I was listening to the radio with a buddy and late in the game I told him the most common radio call I've heard in the last month is "Zidlicky SHOOTS! Wiiide of the net..."
Shortly therafter Zidlicky SHOT... wiiide of the net. So I said "if I hear that again I'm smashing the radio." So early in overtime, Zidlicky SHOT! wiiide of the net...
I didn't smash the radio, but the drywall needs a little repair from my foot.
Going to get a tape of the game. Which is very cool. Sounded like a burner, I was up and pacing around the entire time.
What an awesome win! Way to go Predators! You guys ROCK.

What????? I want the Cup and could care less about other "Championships". How is that thinking small? If Edmonton had have won game 7 last year would people think less of them?

edmonton has a history and titles which we don't. we need as many positives as we can get.
and yes people will say you just got in and then got hot in the POs. just like they will say you were the best in the regular season and flopped(ala wings last couple of years). the wings can shrug it off as they have lots of accolades, which we don't.

Both Edmonton and The Wings had to win their 1st cup to build those dynasties. I want 3 or 4 or more cups over the next 10 years not just one this year. If we do that I could/do care less if we ever win the Central or President's trophy.

They say Scotty has a broken bone in his foot from two games back and they just discovered it. I remember when he took the puck on the skate but he came right back after shaking it off. Some comment said he's been playing soft. Sounds like a tough nut to me.

we want in this order:
central division, western conference #1, president's trophy, western conference title and lord stanley's cup.
a bonus would be to win the western finals in detroit.
of course anyone would settle for #8 and the cup. but taking it all will let everyone know we have arrived.
Am I reading this right? Are you saying that your priority list is:
1) Winning the Central Division
2) Getting the #1 seed in the Western Conference
3) Winning the President's Trophy
4) Winning the Western Conference Title
5) Stanley Cup
You'd rather win a stupid CENTRAL DIVISION TITLE than a Stanley Cup?!? I hope that's not what you are saying, because I'd pretty much lose all respect for hockey in Nashville if fans down there want division titles above all else.....
