Is Berard available? I was talking to a buddy of mine who is a Jackets fan and he says that Berard is on the block. Do you think he's the PP QB we need, and if so what do we send to get him?

Valabik/Popovic/ insert prospect here and a 3rd for Berard?

I think Kovalchuk is better at defense than Berard.

I also think he's worth no more than a 3rd round pick.

Well then, who would you suggest we bring in?

Ian White would look good QBing your PP. I don't know who you would give for him to Toronto though.

Prbly not much, seeing as he's not really a PP QB in Toronto. Don't get me wrong, I really like Ian White, I think he's gonna be a hell of a defenseman, I just dont think the market value is gonna be favourable to the Leafs.

I want any one (or even two) of the St. Louis trio that are on the block; Brewer, Guerin or Tkachuk.

I could see Brewer and and Guerin. That would solve alot of our problems ASAP. Who would we send over for them?

I don't want to think about that part.

The Blues really don't need defensive prospects. You all are pretty well stocked there. We need some help up the middle or 2nd line potential forwards. We have plenty of third, fourth, and fifth line players. A package with Bourret perhaps?

Popovic and a draft pick to St. Louis for Bill Guerin
JD is on record saying he wants forward prospects only(he specifically said "scoring" prospects but I won't make that too much of a sticking point). IMO any trade between the Blues and Thrashers will have to include at least one of Bourret(my preference), Pospisil, Little, LaVallee, Holzapfel or Forney plus a 1st round pick.

I no longer want a QB PP (unless we could get Vishnovski). My main concern is getting rid of Sutton. I would be thrilled with Berard for Sutton as the basic elements of a trade, that's as far as I'd go in the PP direction. Sutton's ES and PK play is terrible, and he has terrible chemistry with Havelid. Havelid looks like he's having no fun at all out there with Andy: it looks like Nic's just punching the clock running around trying to mop up Andy's messes. Nic is often out of position because he's compensating for Sutton's misreads.

We could really use some guy who can play 22 mins plus and is just plain solid.

If the Rangers do not win tonight, most suspect there will be a few trades to "retool" and get on track for next year. Would ATL be interested in Michael Nylander and Aaron Ward? Of course, Little is of great interest but I'm not sure he'd be one to package for those two. Is Bourret and a pick a more likely deal?

New York
Michael Nylander, Karel Rachunek or Aaron Ward & 4th Rounder

Atlanta
Alex Bourret, Boris Valabik & 3rd Rounder

I'd like to hear what Trasher fans think of this proposal.
