Delayed penalty and the player doesn't have a stick, all you have to do is get the puck from him. Instead you drill him. Hmm.

He lifted his knee into the back of his and he didn't even have control of the puck. That is why he's in the box, Melrose.

Yeah that fact that he lifted his knee right into Ghost's knee. That was dirty.

Good to see Ghost back out there and skating well

Melrose is an idiot, he drilled his knee right into the back of his leg. It's kneeing regardless of where his knee makes contact.

In what league is that considered legal??

Turk got a charge penalty as well. Figured it would be that. No need to hit him like that when he just needs to touch the puck.

I don't think it's as far fetched as some people think. There is a lot of history of two-way defenders leaving college after their junior years and stepping into the NHL in some capacity the next year.

I think he splits time between NHL and AHL.

I honestly don't think it's that far fetched he gets the Torey Krug treatment. He might be a black ace and then an injury fill in if it happens.(OMG GUS though!!)

Krug fit very well into the Bruins last year during their run.

I dont know if its farfetched but the Flyers are reluctant to play young or rookie defenders. Always have been.

Even if they change the philosophy he will most likely need to compete with Hagg, Morin, Alt, and even maybe Vasiliev.

The Flyers would have had to put him on the reserve list for him to be eligible for the playoffs. Not sure if they did or didn't or if that info is even public. The Rangers had to do it with Kreider.

Holmgren is going to have to resist the urge to sign a vet for the D next year.

With Ghost, Gus, and even Alt/Hagg, we have the pipeline (finally) to plug in holes with effective talent. No reason not to give those guys a look when injuries hit.

From watching the game Ghost ever since that hit he hasn't been putting a lot of pressure on that leg that got hit. He also feel down a few times but I don't know if that has anything to do with the leg.

Almost every NHL team has a young player in their top 6 defenders. This is to groom that defender into a bigger role for the future. For some reason though the Flyers dont like doing that.

And a main reason our defense is average at best. Continue to trade and sign really old defenders to have a full vet defensive lineup.
