I wouldn't have a problem with Burke coming to Philly AS LONG AS he is an insurance policy, a back up - and he can't cost an arm and a leg either. Chances of it happening? Not good in my opinion.

Who would be stupid enough to trade a top prospect for Burke? Oh yeah, Clarke and Sather.

Honestly, neither team needs him and both are probably better without him.

The Rags have a huge leadership problem, and Dunham isnt exactly mr. consistant. Burke would be a good addition for any playoff team, its just the question of whos willing to pay what.

I find it absolutely amazing how little respect Burke garners. Let's ignore the fact that he's single handedly made the Phoenix Coyotes competitive for the last four seasons. He's been an elite netminder. He's consistently stolen points against much better competition. He's made a defense that consisted of green prospects and underachieving veterans and made them look good. Cale Hulse has been their most consistent blueline this year. Would he even have made your starting six at the beginning of the season? Burke has been nothing short of amazing during his time in Phoenix. I'm not asking for everyone to jump up and down at the thought that their team may have given up a prospect or a draft pick to acquire him, but at least have the decency to respect what the man has accomplished. He's far from crap and far from a non-factor when it comes to winning a hockey game.

And Burke is 10-15-5 with a 2.81 GAA and .908 Save percentage. decent, but not eye-popping. Rangers need leadership, but not at 4 million per year. Flyers don't need goaltending with Esche and Niittymaki playing so well.

Theo would have him beat in the last 3, as would Ceckmanek I would imagine.

Doesn't Burke have a player option in his contract at $4.25 mil? I don't think any team would be willing to pay a 37 year old Burke that much money, even the Rangers. I think Phoenix will have to eat some of that salary or take on a bit of salary in return. Burke is slowing down and would be lucky to stay healthy for half a season at the rate he's at.
